I bought a new Gallien Krueger Legacy 112 bass amp from Polar's Ebay store in late December 2022. The amp came with a 2 year warranty, and I wanted the security which came from buying a new amp with a warranty should any issues arise. The amp has only been used a handful of times. Always at home, never gigged, and never at anything approaching full volume. The amp developed an audible fault, a sizzling sound which is extremely irritating. I contacted Polar expecting this to be resolved under the warranty. They had me fill in a warranty repair form online, which seemed fine. They then refused to help as they are no longer the UK supplier for Gallien Krueger. They told me to contact Andertons as they are now the GK agent. No piece of proof of purchase has been adequate for Andertons. I have a new amp with a fault. There appears to be little will for Andertons to help, but I can't blame them. They didn't sell me the amp. Polar have the gall to still be selling the amp on their site as I am writing this 26/4/23. I would hope that they have the decency to point out that they will not participate in any way should any issues arise with the amp other than to tell them to go to Andertons. Polar have taken my money and essentially washed their hands of the matter. They have taken no responsibility whatsoever. Their customer service in my case has been abject. I could have bought a second hand amp and saved my money. Polar have been dire, absolutely dire.
Bought a pair of active monitors from this shop, the courier didn't even ring my doorbell as I could watch the recording of him gently tapping instead of pushing the big silver button, so I contacted this lot about it who then refused to have my delivery left in a safe place as I would not be in the next day so contacted the courier to have it returned to them, they then placed the item as being delivered on the tracking and forced me to claim my money back. Never had a problem with parcels being left but this shop seems to run more on paranoia than customer service When it goes wrong, very unhelpful
Excellent and fast customer service. Replaced valves for my H&K Grandmeister Deluxe under warranty with superb efficiency. Total turnaround time 2 days - fantastic service. Can't recommend them enough.
bought a pair of beyerdynamic beat bryd. For a cheap set of wired headphones really impressed with the sound quality. delivery was super fast and well packaged. I will shop here again
Checked the beyerdynamic website to order the DT 1990 Pro slider repair kit, but noticed they were not shipping to the UK. POLAR UK didn't have the item on their website, but beyerdynamic pointed UK customers to their website. I contacted the team, who told me the delivery times and listed the item on their website for me to order. Ordered the product, and I was emailed the same day with an explanation as to how long it would take to deliver. They sent the item within the timeframe, and was even able to rush the dispatch. Amazing! The item arrived, though the product was missing screws. This was very likely a beyerdynamic issue, so I contacted POLAR UK. They responded to the email, apologised for the missing screws, and shipped it the same day! On the POLAR UK part, they did excellent. They were really fast and responsive to my messages, and operated under the age old principle of underpromise and overdeliver. Definitely recommend! Special thanks to Lauren, Aga and Alex.
Seemingly nice people to deal with but customer service really sucks. Manager took no responsibility for the poor service. Would not buy from them again. Shame if I'm honest.
Excellent customer service, repair, and delivery times. Got my Beyerdynamics MC-930 and they sound absolutely amazing. 100% would recommend.
Sent my faulty Beyerdynamic earphones back on the Tuesday for diagnosis and received a replacement pair back the very same week! I spoke to Jack via e-mail and he was very responsive throughout, was a pleasure Thanks!
The team at Polar Audio are absolutely fantastic, I would recommend them 100% - their customer service is amazing, Jack and Nigel were always positive, courteous, and helpful on the phone. Rob, Polar’s lovely technician was on hand to help with our issue and was more than happy to run us through the steps to find a solution even though the SMR1808 is discontinued. Rob even sent us another amplifier module to try out in the sub to see if it would work! Which it did!! These guys have never worked with us before, but they didn’t hesitate to find us a solution and didn’t quit until the problem was completely fixed. I can honestly say that without Polar, we would still have an issue with our Mackie Sub. I’m very impressed and I would highly recommend them to anyone - they know their stuff! Thank you Rob, Jack, Nigel, and all the team at Polar.
Ollie at Polar was there when I needed help during lockdown after I had been passed around over a faulty earphone case. Between coffee break and lunch for me Ollie had sorted out a solution and a replacement was on its way an hour later. Great service. Vaughan Wilson
