90 year old grandparents’ boiler broke down in the snow. They have a top notch emergency plan with British Gas but we couldn’t get through to British Gas despite trying all morning. Called Plumbright and they said they could help the same day. They arrived exactly when they said they would and 10 minutes later the problem was fixed. Explained everything clearly. British Gas plan will be cancelled ASAP and will use these guys in future.

Today a Plumbright van cut up us on the road by recklessly pulling in between me and the van ahead. After beeping him to let him know I was there he breaked repeatedly as I was about to drive and tried to cause an accident. More beeping resulted in more breaking. Dangerous and reckless with no regard for anyone else .His response was, "if you have time to beep you have time to break" He should be reported for dangerous driving.

A Boiler Installation: I called Plumbright Installations after there name came up on the Worcester Bosh site as prefered installers of there systems. At Just shy of £3000 they were far cheaper than British Gas who estimated £8000 for the same job. Darren came round to give it the once over and tell me what would go where, and satisfied i went ahead with the works. The Team have done many homes around Forestdale so knew what they were doing. On the day the team turned up and competently removed my old boiler and installed the new Combination boiler leaving me with central heating and lovely hot high pressure water for my shower. I couldn't have been happier with that side of things and therefore i will not leave a scathing revue as that was what was on my quotation so i cant complain to that point. However (isnt there always a however!). There was a hole in my kitchen wall left from where the old boiler vented (you know the ones..little metal grill on your back wall). I was told by one of the team that they would return to fill/render that the next day (Friday) ..which wasn't suitable for me so the following Monday was agreed. In the meantime the young trainee who was with them (we all start somewhere) asked me for some carrier bags...He proceeded to fill the hole with about 7-8 small sainsburys bags..which, for November, i felt wasn't going to cut it..so i filled it myself with towels and cusions assuming it was only temporary. What isnt discussed at any point is the possibilty of all your old pipeworks, having being used to a gravity fed tank system, start to burst / leak under the mains pressure of the new system.THIS I FEEL IS IMPORTANT as i was lucky enough to have a pipe burst/leak under my kitchen floor and the pipe feeding the toilet cystern..and for the weekend i had a small flood to clear everytime the water was on...so i had to shut down the water. This is where Plumbright started to let me down. They came on the Monday to address the leak and i hoped ..fill the wall...once they had arrived (late in the day and not as agreed) neither problems were fixed and the plumbers left (they seem to be finished no later than 4pm). I traced the leaking pipe myself..cut open my floorboards and days later Darren himself came round (again two hours after promised) to cap the pipe. In this time (4 days)..i had to keep turning my mains tap on and off for my family to use the water..then turn it off again to limit the water damage. Earlier i mentioned i was lucky. That's because i work from home and was able to keep tabs on the situation. I also have some knowledge and tools for simple plumbing procedures. I replaced the pipe and valves to my toilet myself (im rather good may i say) and decided come January that i would sort the hole in the wall myself too.And rather than render (flat smoosh concrete), i bricked it up nicely to match the rest of the wall. The only phone calls i recieied from Plumbright, i received at any time ,were when they arranged the first visit to my home...and when they wanted there money..i had to call and chase them the rest of the time. So to sumerise..Plumbright Installations delivered on there agreed quotation of installation and at a price i was more than happy with. But i would suggest that if your thinking of having a new boiler installed, know that its a large job and there will "always" be niggles that need addressing.Holes in walls. Leaking pipeworks. A timeframe for it to be completed. MAKE THAT A PART OF ANY AGREEMENT NO MATTER WHO YOU GO WITH as if you cannot do it yourself..the costs could add up easily..and a leaking/burst pipe in your home could do an awful lot of damage. I have been truthful and fair in my review and i hope it helps anyone reading.
