Jon recently installed a new boiler and has done some servicing work in the past for me. All the work was done very neatly, tidily, quickly and to budget. Jon's good at keeping one informed about the work and giving useful advice related to it. All round a very professional job. Thoroughly recommended.

Jon installed a new boiler for us and added some new radiators. We changed from a hot water cylinder to heat on demand system. The job was done ok. I feel it was relatively expensive and could have done better elsewhere. Urgency of having hot water and Jon’s availability (a plumber with a spare week at short notice?!) may have led to me making an unwise choice and no other quotes... One of his workmen did a very tidy job on the pipework. Jon, to be honest, was a bit less tidy. Some of the new solder joints are now leaking a couple of years on and I was pretty unimpressed to find a group of plastic joints in the roof, which split open causing serious water damage in the recent (March 2018) cold spell. It may have split anyway had it been copper, but I doubt it. We discussed the position of the new radiators in the loft and I returned one day to find them in a spot convenient for installation, but not so convenient for the room or efficient for heating the room. We had a discussion about whether instructions had been clear and I let it drop... We had an electrical element in our bathroom radiator to heat it in the summer. Months after Jon came it wasn’t working. I suspect he failed to turn it off when he drained the system, but I don’t know that. I wasn’t successful in getting him back to fix it... I certainly wouldn’t use him again, though the system is working ok (loft is still a bit chilly at times - a radiator behind a chest of drawers and beside a bed are not ideal...).

After several winters with poorly performing heating we arranged for Jon and team to remove and install an entirely new heating system in our family home. All the work was completed during a relatively brief business trip away. The new system is working splendidly. Six months on, couldn't be happier.

Jon and his team at Plumbbob have looked after our gas boiler, gas fires and our heating system for a few years now. They are completely dependable, friendly, and excellent at their work. We have come to think of them as friends when they arrive to fix yet another problem. They are a brilliant team.
