Went here tonight for an impromptu meal out and we couldn’t be happier with our decision. We tried a few different pizzas and each one hit the spot, the new BBQ burnt ends one was especially good. The staff were incredibly nice and attentive, especially so, given they are short staffed. I would be wary of the fact that they understandably, at the time of the review, are running a reservations only system due to staffing issues! We will definitely return as everything was brilliant
Good food. Decent choice from the vegetarian options. I'd be specific that Pamesan cheese is not veggie as I'm sure there was some on my pizza. But I'm personally not totally picky. Had the Fungi pizza - really packed with flavour, crispy base and tasty. Vegetarian options: Great options including vegan.
DID NOT have a meal here - unable to get in. After a day driving and deciding to stop and feed the family - Booking wasn’t suitable as we had a long day with multiple stops and it was a spur of the moment thing. Got to the restaurant to find they were only serving those without bookings notice on the door - picture attached. From what we could see the restaurant was pretty empty inside. We then attempted to book a table from the website but it doesn’t tell you what slots aren’t available, you have to keep trying slots to be told they aren’t available. Usually such good experiences at Pizza Express but sadly this didn’t live up to what we expected. I don’t usually post bad reviews but with hungry and disappointed children I couldn’t say nothing this time.
When I came to Inverness four years ago, I ate here every single day of my holiday, so when I came back to Scotland I couldn’t wait to return. Big mistake. Last night, I was unable to make a reservation online because I don’t have a UK phone number so when my best friend and I arrived at 9pm an hour before closing time, we weren’t greeted very warmly. The hostess checked her watch as she sat us, as I was profusely apologizing. The waitress who I also apologized to couldn’t have been less friendly, and generally made us feel very unwelcome. I can deal with rude behavior, but the food made both of us horribly sick. My friend was sick not long afterwards, and I was sick this morning. It couldn’t have been anything else we ate, because Pizza Express was the only thing we had yesterday-hence us being desperate and thankful to get dinner at 9pm. I’m hoping it’s just a strange coincidence that they were unhappy that we came in that close to closing time and then we both got food poisoning, right??

Delicious meal and v good gluten free food as one of us is coeliac. You were all so kind and helpful, even when we left our coat at the restaurant and you arranged return. Thank you! Always get take away pizza express when I’m in Inverness for a couple nights. I have coeliac disease and am so comfortable ordering their delicious pollo pasta and halloumi bites. I’ve never had a problem with cross contamination and it’s always ready so fast!! Consistently good food, consistently ready for collection 10 mins after I order. Big love to their kitchen team they do a brilliant job. Dietary restrictions: I LOVE that all their pasta is gluten free by default! I would never be able to tell that it wasn’t just regular wheat pasta. But then again with coeliac disease it’s been a while since I’ve had regular wheat pasta they also have GF pizza options.
Fantastic service, very friendly staff that were good with the kids. Food was delicious too Kid-friendliness: Great for kids, lots of activities for them to do on their menu and a hat to decorate too
Having a gluten allergy I enjoy dining out at pizza express as there are plenty of options for myself. Being able to get a gluten free peroni with my gluten free pizza is a treat, one of the best GF pizza/bread flavours and textures. I have been to many pizza express restaurants throughout the UK and honestly, the Inverness branch is by far the best, the pizza is always well cooked, plenty of toppings, the atmosphere is great, never had a bad time dining there. Shout out to the staff there too, really just a bunch of great people, smiling and always willing to make you feel welcome and have a laugh, can't recommend it enough. Vegetarian options: Loads of vegan options on the menu, you can customise pretty much everything too and the staff are supper helpful. Dietary restrictions: Loads of GF options on the menu, everything prepared and cooked in a separate area, textures and flavours are really good.
