Everything was lovely. Starters were great. Pizzas were nice and so was the dessert. Friendly staff and good service.
Always enjoy a meal here. Had the vegan pizza am vegetarian was yummy. Great choice and good service.
Pizza Slow. We ordered 2 pizza and dough balls at 1.45pm. We got our pizza an hour later! The place was practically empty- one big group when we came in, that was pretty much it. The waiter took our order, brought our drinks and then pretty much disappeared. Another waiter came to check on us about 20mins later to ask how we were - we think this is when they realised that our waiter had not put our order through. They finally brought our dough balls 5 minutes later, but we had to wait much longer to get our pizza. The manager did say she would take them off the bill and that they were "short staffed". But we saw 2 waiters who at some point both went on a coffee break without even glancing at our still empty table and 3 people in the kitchen, so we did not really understand what she meant. Our pizzas were good, but they had used the wrong base for one of them. Anyway. We had to physically get up from our table which had not been cleared of empty plates and walk towards the till to get our bill. They had charged us for the dough balls which were supposed to free through the app. The waiter went back to talk about it to the manager, twice. In the end they did not charge us for anything, and the waiter came back to say "you're free to go". Poor form from the manager who should have come to apologise, really. It was our second time at this branch - last time service was already slow same waiter despite the half-empty room. We wasted so much time there for what we thought was going to be a quick lunch, which meant we were not able to go to a couple of shops we had planned to visit in a nearby village. We will not come again. Vegetarian options: Quite a few options Dietary restrictions: Full vegan menu
Once again you advertise gluten free pizza bases but don't have any. So again I sat there with no food while my family eat This is not the first time this has happened and I can only assume you put gluten free In your marketing to tick a box. No apology from the staff, the comment after me declaring my disappointment of no pizza was 'enjoy your meal'. I presume that was a sarcastic comment? Thanks for that.
Ordered delivery via Uber eats, wrong order was delivered, after calling store no option to remake order, simply told a refund can be given and to reorder. Despite money being take. Terrible customer service, poorly managed and and not the first bad experience here down to poor management. A big disappointment from what is otherwise a very good chain of restaurants.
We had a lovely early-evening family meal on a Thurs - the food was great, the kids loved the kids' menu and the adults enjoyed themselves too. Above all the staff were charming, obvs happy in their work and nothing was too much trouble!Food: 5/5
Even though it’s a chain restaurant, I can’t say the experience felt too formulaic. Firstly the restaurant is spacious so you’re not tripping over nearby tables. The large floor to ceiling windows also let in enough light to make you feel like you’re almost dining outside. The service is professional and polite, but maybe a little stretched as because we came towards the end of lunch we only had one waiter and one cook servicing the four other tables and ourselves. Down to the food. The starter of bruschetta was larger than I expected and because we were sharing became a bit messy after the thick bread was sawn in half and toppings scattered to the four winds. The dough balls in contrast were easier to manage, but the mayo topping became a increasingly monotonous the more dough balls you consumed. The pizzas were however the saving grace, which is fortunate as the restaurant chain is named after it. The spinach pizza with egg was thoroughly light and enjoyable, although the egg would have sent you into rapture if it was more runny and less solid. The spicy pepperoni and half jalapeños pizza was genuinely spicy and coming from someone who can handle spice, that’s no mean feat. Anyway the food was pretty good and I think overall, the meal was enjoyable and good value for money.
The staff we not friendly, seemed like they were all p off and wanted to go home. Not great atmosphere when you pay to eat out. The restaurant was empty and had to get up all the time to ask for stuff. Would not go back
Lovely pizzas. Usual good quality from Pizza Express and even tastier using Tesco Clubcard Vouchers.
One of the nicest Pizza Express restaurants I've been to. Really enjoyed our visit.Food: 5/5
