I honestly can’t understand why people would give this practice anything less than 4 stars, let alone a bad review. I have been attending for many years with my 3 children and the staff here have always been as accommodating as possible. I can understand there is frustration when not being able to get an appointment as soon as one may want to in case of a sudden dental issue but I can’t imagine any of the staff here NOT being understanding of this and doing what they can to resolve the problem or signposting elsewhere, if appropriate. In my experience they are all friendly and smiley people and Mr Moffatt is a well-established and attentive dentist who shows a great deal of care to each patient. It’s unfortunate to see how much of their time is wasted by people simply failing to show up to appointments.
Absolutely horrendous they don't worth one start but go no choice as this the lowest Firstly they don't answer the phone keeps ringing and ringing even if you try morning afternoon and they will answer and hangup eventually when answering and ask for appointments they say they don't have any even when you say its urgent, always blaming the backlogs, but this is urgent I won't phone otherwise, Also they gave an appointment for me and the family for check ups and they cancelled it again and again, also blaming the backlogs but when my kids want for check the dentist himself said you have to bring one of them back made an appointment at reception week later they cancelled it,
The worst ever dental clinic in Sheffield. if you are on benefit, then, you will expect more difficulties in getting treatment, even if you are in sever pain. the dentist will not care about your pain. but when pay for your treatment, you will get instant treatment but not good as you expected. also since 2020 they found the corona pandemic a good reason to hide their neglect.
This dentist is by far the best dentist I’ve ever been to. Not only is it a holistic and biological dentist where they focus on your overall health but they practice safe amalgam removal using the IAOMT protocols. When I had my initial check up about removing three amalgam fillings Alan was very understanding about how they effected my health and his assistant Angela went through the whole procedure with me and made me feel at ease. I was booked in to have two removed the following Wednesday. I left feeling very happy as I felt understood by the team and was made to feel welcome. Yesterday I had two of my amalgam removed and replaced with white fillings no plastic and Alan did a safe, skilful and great job, Angela was by my side the whole process as I was a bit nervous as I had not had this procedure done before which helped me a lot. I travel from Leeds to come to this dentist and I would not go anywhere else. I would just like to thank all involved, including the receptionist Gail as she also made me feel welcome.
Alan Moffatt is a demi-god of dentistry. What he doesn't know about teeth isn't worth knowing, and he has worked miracles restoring my damaged teeth largely at the hands of other dentists, I might add. I trust him implicitly, and no longer fear going to the dentist. The practice staff are all lovely too, smiley and welcoming and friendly. I can't recommend this practice highly enough.
This is a fantastic dental practice. Everyone is very helpful and knowledgeable. I have always been extremely pleased with the care provided, to the extent that I now travel a significant distance to stay with this dentist. I cannot recommend them highly enough
Family friendly practice In direct response to Ms Ali's post: I am the receptionist at Pitsmoor Dental and in response to your comments I am totally dismayed to read such untruths. I and other members of staff have searched dental records for you in both names you have posted this under , and cannot find you under either name ? We take customer complaints very seriously and investigate any that are raised with the utmost professionalism and courtesy. All patients at this practice are treated fairly and not discriminated against in any way and all members of staff at our practice have no recollection of this alleged incident.
Amazing practice with lovely respectful patients . I am writing in response to previous post by Ms Ali as it is not only a complete fabrication of the truth but clearly malicious and the rantings of a very bitter person . Fortunately in the 28 years of this practice we have been lucky enough to have loads and loads of really lovely patients who treat all staff with respect and consideration. If one person chooses to post such vile untruths so be it if it makes them feel better about themselves good luck to you .
My father has been attending this surgery for several years and has always used his NHS card. In Dec he attended 2 appointments where he paid for treatment, as his card hadn't arrived in time. Mr Mofitt decided to charge him private fees which cant be claimed back. Called the surgery to complain and was dealt with a patronising receptionist. Wont be using this Dentist again, ethically wrong. Others Reviews posted by staff and family members=unbiased.
If you like a sadistic dentist this is the one for you! I have had a sore gum off & on since I visited this practice 2 yrs ago. when the dentist rammed dental floss several times so hard between my teeth he caused my gum to bleed, due to an ill fitting crown.
