Best Italian place in Newcastle. Finally I find taste of Italy in Newcastle. Now my 1st favourite place in Newcastle. Just amazing place, very friendly staff, very good atmosphere. Can’t recommend this place enough.
Had really good cheese gnocchi Great ambiance Lovely and cozy place!
Out for a work Xmas meal. Absolutely diabolical. The portions were so small my children would eat more. Steak undercooked and one dish came with nothing but the fish. Was supposed to have mussels and side plate of chips or veg. Mussels were all empty and no side. Thoroughly disappointed. Had to make tea on arrival home. Staff were not good either when asking where food was for our table. Don't bother with the carafe of wine, you may as well get a large glass and when it came to paying the bill they didn't take the deposits off the total
I always try to drop in there before going to see a nearby music event. It's handy for the NX .. formerly O2, Tyne theatre city hall and even utilita arena.. I've never been disappointed in any aspect of the service and the food has always been excellent and great value for money.Food: 5/5
1st time and last. Starter bog standard and dry, main dry. My son's birthday what a mistake. Not once asked if we enjoyed the food, no wonder. Anyway £83 lighter and gutted. The staff looked really unhappy, I feel for them, something not right
Really good pizza and pasta. Nothing fancy, just tradition Italian food. Efficient wait staff. We came with a large group and they got us dinner pretty quickly.Food: 4/5
Waiter got the drinks order wrong to start, got both starters wrong and one of the mains, food that came was good, but far too much garlic, to the point the steak had no flavour of its own. Quite disappointed really, could be far better with staff that listen to the customers, medium is not rare! Prawns are not mussels! Lager and lime is not lager with a separate glass of lime and soda.
Very poor service, did not repeat our orders, did not check on us to see if our food was okay, waited about ten minutes for some sauce which was a sip, we saw people who were in the restaurant after us get the bill before us, served soup spoons for icecream! Completely and utterly POOR. The parmo was not a parmo, it had no bechamel sauce just a cheesey breaded chicken, accompanied by about 4 chips! We then ordered desserts to try compensate for our main and were given soup spoons ? Tiramisu was bog standard, could of got it from Aldi. Try at your own risk. Kid-friendliness: Not kid friendly, would say more of an intimate restaurant.
Really enjoyed the food, service, and atmosphere here. Tasty lasagna and decent wine.Food: 5/5
