Lovely vegetarian restaurant and most items and drinks can also be made vegan. Had the special, mushroom goulash which was very tasty and filling. Also hot drinks with alcohol were very appealing. Tia Maria with almond milk hot chocolate for me. It is situated on steep hill and has steps to the main seating area so probably not best for people with mobility issues. I struggled. Would definitely come again.
We dined in for a late lunch with my friend. She ordered the curry of the way which was red pepper and lentils. I picked the bistro salad fantastic goat cheese!. We were both so happy with our food, it was delicious and it was great for my vegetarian to have so many choices at a restaurant for once. The staff was friendly and welcoming. I would definitely recommend the place!
We popped in here on a visit to Lincoln on Friday Feb 24, and were delighted with our experience. The architecture is old and quirky, with small rooms joined by odd flights of stairs, and it all has a real old-world charm. The food was just out of this world, seriously tasty and prepared quickly in a clean kitchen we could see from where we sat. The staff members we encountered were happy, welcoming and very friendly, making us feel at home immediately. Two points to note: this place is on Steep Hill, and there's a high step up to gain access. There is a seated area just inside the door but otherwise you have to go up a short flight of stairs to find seating. There is a single toilet out the back along a short path, again with a short set of steps. This is just to say that it isn't the best place for the elderly who are unsteady on their feet or anyone with mobility issues. It's not a criticism, just a statement of fact! You would not expect a place like this, situated where it is, to remodel for today's inclusivity. It doesn't change the fact that Pimento is a brilliant vegetarian/vegan restaurant that serves delicious food! Vegetarian options: Excellent range of vegan and vegetarian food for everyone! I had a ciabatta with roasted Mediterranean vegetables and vegan feta, and it was excellent.
Had a lovely vegan lunch today. I had mushroom goulash, my wife had lentil and sweet potato curry. Both had a slice of cake for dessert, absolutely delicious . Great service as well, reasonable price, highly recommended.
Walked past this place so many times but hadn't been in until today. What a beautiful building! Attentive but not intrusive staff who are extremely friendly and helpful. Food was absolutely beautiful - filling but not too filling. And everything vegan or vegetarian, nice to not be choosing from vegetation lasagne or burger as is usually the case when eating out! I had the vegan sweet potato chilli which was amazing. Prices honestly not that bad either. Fully recommend
Lovely afternoon with yummy food and really welcoming staff. Loved the variety of vegetarian and vegan friendly cakes! And some homemade too! Thank you guys! Will visit again x
Sat down to a warm cappacino and had a slice of home made vegan coffee cake. Not good at all. Very small slice - it was explained by the waitress who served me that it was made by themselves so hence the smaller slice. The difference was 50p! The actual cake was so sweet it blew my head away and my wife tasted it with the same shudde! Talk about a sugar tax??? Don't think so! £16+ later - no apologies. No explanation and oh yes, the waitress who served me did state that the small slice of cake in question was - SWEET! DEFINATELY WILL NOT GO THERE AGAIN AND IN MY OPINION BIT OF A RIP OFF ...very sad and dissatisfied. TO THE OWNER/ MANAGER. Your reply was rude and very wrong- so get your facts right. I was told that it was ultra sweet by your waitress when paying the bill! And not before! I'm going to put this on Trip Advisor and intend to come back to your restaurant to see if what you are saying is correct. Please stop moaning about how everything including costs are increasing - its not only your restaurant in Financial crisis, its all of us. Don't you dare call me rude... its a pathetic and childish response. I stated my opinion and I stand by that. As a customer please respect my comments and stop being so self righteous.
Good selection of vegetarian food with vegan options. Friendly staff. Modern decor with warm notes such as brick and stone. Casual ambience. Located in steep hill ; best to get there on foot. Ticket parking 5-10 min walk away. Service slightly slow on the busy Saturday lunch time we visited.
Average : lovely location, but don;t go on a cold day, unless you are a sea lion - it was 4 degrees outside when I visited and radiators were all off. NO amount of good food could make up for these temperatures. Heat it up please tightwads
