High Bridge Cafe
"Click the latch of our beautiful Tudor High Bridge Café for a taste of the Stokes Way of life. The High Bridge, built over the River Witham circa 1160 is the only Medieval bridge in England with houses still upon it, and our unique building has been standing tall since 1540. Take time to enjoy this historic building in its full glory with a jolly good brew, and maybe a bite to eat too."

Excellent place for coffee and cake, beautiful atmosphere and outstanding service. Amazing coffees I would highly recommend trying. Also a unique view of the river as it passes under the establishment.Recommended dishesEnglish Breakfast, Toasted Plum Bread & Lincolnshire Poacher Cheese, Cake, Pot of Tea
Excellent coffee in picturesque historical building. They have both a restaurant and takeaway side, with takeaway focused on drinks, pasties, and a few misc bakery items like muffins. Coffee is excellent, service also good, though takeaway can be slightly slow.
Very nice old building! Very helpful and lovely staff which let you enjoy your afternoon tea. I would say reasonable price as well. I was more than happy to leave them a tip as they really deserve that.
Great place for a spot of lunch. The toasted sandwiches were lovely. Good service, would visit again.
Brilliant service. A walk in of 6 people and we were sat down immediately with amazing service. Especially as we had a gluten free vegan and a lady allergic to almonds. The lady was so happy and helpful even though we were a real pain sending her back and forth to the kitchen with questions! This will definitely become a regular coffee and food place!
Lovely tea rooms with olde English feel. Good selection of cake to go with tea or a tasty cappuccino from Stokes coffee. Some nice fayre to try while doing a spot of shopping in Lincoln.Food: 5/5
What a wonderful restaurant with amazing staff! We booked for our joint birthday and they went above and beyond, with a banner and decorations on the table and a card too : wonderful food the afternoon tea was exquisite and the service was fabulous. thank you so much for making our birthdays extra special!
Lovely little coffee shop . Good menu customer service was very good. Prices were good
A lovely little place.. very slow service.. cold drinks arrived at different time to hot drinks and when hot drinks arrived they were cold.. Re ordered and they then arrived after a long wait. I will not be back. Price vs quality and service make it a place to look into but pass by for our family and friends. It may be different for others but too late now for us. I was offered a loyalty ticket and asked if I came frequently .. I am often in Lincoln but said no I am not local. The attitude to my experience changed when they thought I was unlikely to return!
Been here in the past as had my Auntie many times. We called in for lunch, My Aunt had a wrap and loved it. I had a toastie and was disappointed. Nothing to complain about it tasted fine but no different to making up a quick snack at home. I just expected nicer bread, ham and cheese with a better side dressing. BUT I did read the menu and got what it said!
