Pie and mash is great comfort food on a cold day and eating here is fantastic. The restaurant is relaxed and on a weekday night we weren't rushed at all. I had the goats cheese and beetroot pie and loved the crisp pastry with a tasty filling and the creamy mash. The photo is pie and fried potatoes. Good house red wine too and served peppermint tea.

Good selection of pies. I had the vegan Jackfruit pie. The crust is quite crispy but I liked it, particularly with the red wine sauce. Pie may be a little salty for some people but it's complemented well by the mash. I would certainly recommend it.

Great food, good beer selection and excellent service. Decent value (2 mains, 2 sides & 4 drinks for £40). Can also recommend the sweet potato fries & veggy options. Gluten free options available on request. :)

Quirky restaurant tucked away in the northern quarter. Really good food, with options for gluten free, vegan and others. Would definitely recommend. We didn't get to dessert as we were too full from the pies, but would come again to see what was on offer. They also have a great beer selection. Try it out, just for a pint after work or a full on meal, you won't be disappointed!

The pie and pint of ale I had from here, and being from Bury I know a thing or two about pie and ale, was probably the best pie I have ever had. It was incredible, the beer was also fantastic. A must visit if eating in Manchester.
