Bar staff were great & very pleasant, Ale was very nice Manchester prices. Ironically the only people breaking the rules were the friendly door staff, smoking actually in the doorway & stinking the entire pub out. 5 stars if it weren't for that. And closing was earlier than stated.
This was a fantastic pub for drinking, located conveniently in Manchester Piccadilly station! The counter has a slick metal style and the design is nicely modernized, with comfy leather seating where I enjoyed an Old Mout Cider.Service: 5/5
Arriving at Manchester Piccadilly Station and in need of a beer. So impressed with the station bar - Piccadilly Tap. Fabulous beer board. Lovely balcony to enjoy a cold beer and observe.Service: 5/5
Very good pub in a former shop unit on the approach to Manchester Piccadilly Station. Five cask beers on handpump when I last visited including a porter. The bar on the ground floor is largely a standing area. Upstairs is a seating area with bench, pool table and toilets and a terrace overlooking Piccadilly approach. Relatively quiet before the Spurs game at Old Trafford.
Has a nice balcony where you can overlook the delights of Piccadilly in all its roughness and entertainment lol. Given its in the roughest part of town its surprisingly expensive for a pint which is the norm now but its a cool little place to stop off for a pint in - Nice bar staff and good balcony to people watch the zombies on.Service: 5/5
It's a great bar. Good selection of real ale and reasonable price. I did notice at the end of the night the staff were more interested wrapping up than serving which is annoying as customers should come first!
Always been a bit 50/50 on this place, but I'm warming to it over the years! it's on the "ramp" down from Piccadilly and has, as you'd expect from a station pub, a right old mix of customers which can make it a good, or bad experience... Decent range of cask and keg beers, fairly dark and "divey" on the ground floor but a lot brighter upstairs. it's pretty much the only beer place close to the station until you get to the "hipster arches" or around Hilton street.
Funky little venue with plenty of seating, inside and out plus a vast range of beers to navigate your way through. Staff are more than happy to provide samples to help you choose. Will definitely be back if I have a spare hour near Piccadilly.
This place is ideal for anyone like my partner who loves ale and is always eager to try new ales. This place had a large offer of ales. I however timed it unlucky as the cider options were 2 and both were still ciders where as I prefer a fizz to mine. I did try but couldn't drink much but that's a personal taste. The bar staff was friendly and it is located just outside of Piccadilly Train Station.
Great beer selection and the bar man gave excellent service and recommendations. They have live djs some nights and it's also worth noting that they're DOG FRIENDLY!! So helpful when off to get a train with your dog and fancy a cheeky beer.
