Forget your trendy bars, or places you only drink in, some others can see you. Just off main road, this is a proper boozer. Friendly staff, great range of limited edition ales and regular popular drinks. A throw back pub, meant as a compliment.
Came here from Arizona. Nearest pub to where I was staying. Out of 3 days of pub crawling this was my local that I felt so comfortable with and made my home away from home. Jess and Jay were very welcoming. They made me feel home away from home. Great service and entertaining conversations. I would call them my lucky charms!! Very memorable times and can’t wait to be back.
Really nice pub just down the road from the train station. Ended up in here as it was near our hotel, and we were looking for somewhere to watch the football. Liked the place so much we came back most nights for a drink. They've got sports on the TV but also good music on in the background. Friendly staff and a lovely atmosphere.
It was brilliant!!! The patron is lovely and the food and atmosphere was much better than expected!!! Fantastic British draft ales, and a great selection of lagers too. Great to watch football!!!
It’s a great place for watching football. The staff are also very friendly. I came here for food, I had Lasagne, garlic bread and chips. The food was nice, the Lasagne was very cheesy.
What a lovely little pub down a side street off the main road. We was in Manchester for the day due to the football match. First time in Manchester we was looking for somewhere to eat and we was checking everywhere but all full so we just kept walking on the main road where we stopped and had a look round and I just seen a big notice on a side of a building saying great food. I made my husband to go in and see if there were any tables available. We was lucky there were a couple of tables free. We was welcomed by the bar man he was very friendly. Great selection of food. My husband had a burger with fries and a beer, my son had the southern fried chicken foot long sub with fries and a coke, I had the southern fried chicken wrap with fries and a J20 and a side of garlic bread. The food was amazing, cooked freshly and great value for money it was around £35. It also gives you 3 different options and prices that includes a drink, so you have soft drink, alcohol drink and drink premium drink some drinks are not included but it tells you on the menu what you can choose from. Very friendly staff. We would definitely go back there when we are next in Manchester. Highly recommended and you won't be disappointed.
Nice pub, friendly staff and good food in a great location not far from the station. Veggie burger available which is good to see. Sports on TV but also good music in background.
Last few pints last night before heading back home to London. Used to live round the corner from this place and always have enjoyed a pint in here! Staff are always lovely, chatty and welcoming. Food looks good and hearty portions friend of mine ate last night and they have a good selection of lagers/beers on offer. Location is fantastic, near major hotels, Manc Picc Train Station and Piccadilly Gardens! Shows the footy too with loads of big screen - only downside is that it’s a City pub…. Top little boozer for a few pints and a couple of games of footy!! A gem!
Used to come here regularly as a footie pub. Back in 2004 saw Utd beat Arsessall in FA cup semi ..day after Milldew beat Sunderland at Old Trafford thus stopping Flat being at Wembley to see Sunderland v Utd. Seen many great sports events here. Good real ale selection. Wily Fox from Wigan was very good. Can get rowdyso close to Piccadilly...seen England fans here at their scummiest .. almost made me a foreigner..some nasty people support them..as seen at Wembley Euro final.
not the cheapest pub £5.60 for a pint of raspberry porter which was excellent to be fair, approx 6 hand pulled beers,a few from acorn brewery in Barnsley. lovely burger and chips,£12.25 with a pint of doom bar thrown in. Great friendly staff
