This was my first camping experience and it's one I'll never forget. The family who run the farm and Campsite were incredibly friendly and the whole atmosphere around was us was so serene and peaceful - minus the sheep, of course! The scope for photography is endless as there are many vistas that will catch the eye and the area and the Campsite itself is clean and very well maintained. A Camping experience I would very highly recommend!
It’s a cosy but spacious clean little site. Owners were both really friendly and visible. We did the three Peaks from here, it’s literally on the trail so perfect. Would go back to explore some more If your walking past Carol opens a little food/shop hatch at weekends and loos are open to all.
Great camping especially if you are doing 3 Peaks Yorkshire challenge. Clean and spacious toilets and showers. Grass well maintained and so soft. Barn with snacks and drinks is a good idea for people who are passing by. I recommend this place to everyone who likes camping.
What a beautiful campsite this is, we are so looking forward to our second visit, we was made so welcome by the owners carol &Dave. The campsite is so clean and very well maintained they carnt do enough for you, The showers are exellent and toilet facilities. the food is very nice at the snack bar my husband loves the chocolate cake, carol the chocolate cake haha, Theres the vending machines too which is really good, you dont need to worry about anything if you forget to bring things from home. a big thankyou to you both for making our visit fantastic. Mandy & Mark.
We stayed here at the end of August 2021 and we cannot recommend it highly enough. Despite it being a working farm the owners make time and visit the camping field twice daily and check on each camper, the breakfast looked gorgeous although we didn't get around to having one unfortunately. Nothing was too much trouble. The location is stunning and ideal for the three peaks and as a base for walking. The camping field is well cared for, the shower and toilet facilities are basic but more than adequate and the barn is a nice meeting place or somewhere to sit, use the wi-fi and get out of the weather! A really nice camp site, friendly attentive owners and a location that is absolutely stunning.
Lovely place and clean , large space for your pitch. Only downside was midges
Great Campsite, Farmers very nice and friendly and helpful, good facilities and very clean. Very quiet and peaceful. Restrooms: Very clean. Dog-friendliness: Dog friendly site, must be kept on a lead as this is a farm.
Great little farm campsite! Highly recommend you stay here. Good facilities, well maintained grounds, super cafe and friendly family run campsite.
Great location, super clean site, pitch only, owners very friendly and accomodating. Great weekend stay.
Quite a small site. Most of field is on a slope but has small flat area at the top of the field. No cars allowed as field is very small and steep slope . Excellent barn with lots of info , chairs and tables. The snack machines only take contact less cards or phone banking. Has showers and washing up facilities. Pleasant staff. To walk up to Whernside there are over 1000 steps and will be more once the rest of the path has been repaired. The path starts just down the road from the campsite.
