This was the tastiest carrot cake I’ve ever had! Even after 2 days in the fridge, the cake was still so moist. Everything about this carrot cake is top notch! Would highly recommend.
Lovely cafe with a good selection of sandwiches and cakes. It’s a great place to sit there over a coffee and watch the world go by or even your lunch there. They have a fairly big seating area so finding a table shouldn’t be a problem. They also sell sourdough bread which is quite good. Nice friendly staff.
Our barista Rishkandha was very polite and helpful whilst I pondered over which type of coffee and which beautiful cake to have…..and then very patient when I changed my order! The venue itself is very spacious and light with large huge windows to the front. It is modern and clean with 3 outside tables for when it’s sunny. The music is ideal and the atmosphere is very chilled and relaxing. I would definitely recommend this place. Kid-friendliness: All the staff were very friendly towards my 6-year old son, who was very excited to have a hot chocolate! They also offered to make it slightly cooler, which I thought was extremely considerate. Dietary restrictions: Rishkandha our very helpful and patient barista answered my question about one of the cakes and then continued to point out all the other cakes that were gluten free.
The place had a musky smell that reminded me of a care home. I ordered a carrot cake and mocha. The coffee and cake were standard however I found it hard to enjoy because of the dirty fork and spoon. The fork had remains of old food stuck to it. Paired with the musky scent of the place, I didn't not feel good about consuming the food or drink. I did my best to finish and left as soon as possible. Would not recommend.
I’ve made a ritual of coming here after every Portland Hospital prenatal appointment. Now that baby is due I’ll miss it! Such hardworking staff, excellent coffee decaf of course and delicious pastries, quiches and salads. Oh and an excellent music selection.Recommended dishesQuiche, Scones, Mince Pie
A/C is very bad! Inside is smelling toast and burnt food. I had toast odour on my hair and coat when I left. There is only 2 people working and they are lovely and super kind but it is not enough at all. Staff is taking the orders, trying to clean tables preparing sandwiches and it is naturally very slow as here is quite crowded at the same time. Lack of management :
Better than any mainstream cafe. Nice cakes selection. Haven’t tried rest if the food, but everything looks good. Normal prices.
Local, small bakery with a very tasty breakfast and amazing sandwiches. We happened to find it by accident and just loved it!Food: 5/5
Coffee is disappointing. Tried a latte a couple of times and it was just not nice to drink. May as well go to a chain and get similar quality for cheaper. Shame because it’s nice inside and the food looks appealing haven’t tried. They serve quite quickly as well.
Lovely baby friendly cafe. You can chose three salads for one plate, delicious : they also have variety of cakes
