We liked it, very small at present but you can see they are building and updating. Perfect for toddlers and small children. My children did get a bit bored unfortunately once we had walked around once. But what they did see and experience they enjoyed. They had a petting hut where you can handle guinea pigs and rabbits and you can buy bags of carrots and seed to feed some of the animals. Would go again with just my toddler. Pigs were our fave. Look forward to seeing it develop!
Lovely little farm zoo you can feed some of the animals also hold some rabbit and guinea pigsVisited onWeekendWait timeNo wait
Unfortunately, we came today as my children are on half-term. I checked website and it said they were open. We came from Beccles but when we got there it wasn't open. We saw people in there, when my dad asked if they were open they just looked at him and then all 3 turnt their backs. In the end another person came and said they were closed. The people in there were very rude. A big disappointment for my children. I understand that it may not be open but this should say on the website, or even a note on the door.
Lovely for the children to be able to pet rabbits, guinea pigs, chinchillas and rats. Conditions for the animals could be a little better especially the rabbits. It's a nice couple of hours for little ones to see the animals. The more people that visit, the more revenue available to upgrade things. Staff are friendly.Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNo
Very disappointed...spent £15 to get in - have to pay for petting & food as well & was charged more than it is advertised! Website makes it look far more attactive well. Hardly any animals, not much to see or do!Wait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNo
Visited this place for the first time and was apprehensive due to some bad reviews. The Avery's for the birds seemed ok but the rabbits enclosures on the grass part were too small. Had a small hide only. The weather was hot and this particular rabbit was panting. None of the rabbits had any hay which is there main source of food. there was only Alfalfa pellets. No hideout for the larger rabbits or proper source of shade. Being rabbit owners ourselves I find there living conditions disgusting. Rat enclosures also small. Only good thing is that I paid my entrance fee which will hopefully go towards the above.
Are these animals even looked after properly. The chickens are pulling there feathers out. There's no hay straw for qny of the guinea pigs. All animals are mostly on concrete floors with no bedding. The pigs pen was a disgrace the water was green and there sleeping pen was way to small for three pigs. There's a huge tip with rubbish sacks you can gain access to not securely locked and clearly see. There's stinging nettles in enclosures. The place is so run down. £3 per an adult shambles I would happily pay this price if the animals and place was better looked after and the people who worked there actually looked happy.
We visited last weekend. I will not be returning. Cages were poor, dirty water and not fit for the animals. The chicken had red raw legs, pigs had a small amount of green water in their cage and rabbit and duck cages werent suitable. Very poor.Visited onWeekendWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNo
Guinea pigs and rabbits needs are not being met. There’s a review from last week saying the same thing with an answer saying they will look into it - which they blatantly haven’t. A few others reviewers mentioning the conditions of the animals housing and still nothing done. I’m going again in a few weeks. If they are still like it, I’m reporting them as they aren’t listening to the customers. This place used to be awful and then it reopened and it was really nice. Looks like the standards have slipped again.
A huge improvement from the last owners but could still do with a bit more going on. Pop in to see parrots, peacocks, rabbits, guinea pigs, chinchillas, pigs, goats and ponies are few more animals too. Theres petting times during the day when you can hold a bunny and you can buy food to feed the animals as you go round. We spent around 90 minutes here but did the whole place twice. It costs £3 each so you can't expect too much! The animals seem to be well cared for and the enclosures are much better than they used to be. My toddler loves it here but my 5 and 9 year old are not really interested. There are toilets on site but no cafe, no shop, no picnic benches and no playpark though everitts Park is 2 minutes away. I'd definitely take my toddler again but not sure we'd go as a whole family. They should maybe consider a family rate and something to make people stay longer. Another mini farm we went to had a jumping pillow and a coffee shop. You'd be amazed how long kids are entertained by a jumping pillow and how many coffees parents will buy whilst they're watching! Mini-zoo - Maybe this is a suggestion worth considering?? :
