We like to come here. Sometimes if feels like that they are short of staff on the shop floor, but if you find a person they are all really nice. There is a lady, with a short usually colourful hair, I'm sorry forgot her name, she always kind and very helpful.
Decent branch of Pets at Home. Wide selection of good. Aquatics section quite large and a wide range of supporting products available. Prices for fish are cheap, though that is usually at the cost of quality. Prices for supporting goods expensive. Rodents, rabbits and reptiles also available for purchase. Mainly focused on cats and dogs though.
The bugs I buy for my bearded dragon are either often out of stock or quite often dead... not particularly great for her. So I only use this place as a backup in case I need more bugs quickly.
Staff giving different advice on animals, 2 fish have died within days of each other, gone in for advice to be told everything we have been doing is wrong even though it was their instructions when purchasing. The blonde woman with short hair and glasses is very rude and condescending and tries to make you feel stupid for listening to the care advice of her colleagues. I have dealt with this woman twice and each time the same, and never a name tag on either
We've been coming here since our puppy was 2 months old. Lovely staff and always very helpful when it comes to advice and guidance.
Omg sold me 2 male gueina pig even though I explained I had a male.this lead to them fighting.badly.I was new to gp and though these ppl knew what they were talking about.also they sell cages way to small for adult piggys.and chew made of sawdust and honey.all of which is bad for gp.if you complain your basically ignored.
For four years I have used this vet. About 3 years ago I took one of my cats about an eye problem, to be told no problem! The cat now cannot see properly out of that eye. The cornea is glazed. I have also purchased Advocate for both cats without question and being up front with the cats weight. Now the vet in her wisdom does not seem to believe my weight quotes and wants both cats bought in to be weighed before supplying medicine. After 3 years. Therefore I will no longer be using their services. Which is a shame.For something like 3 years they have monthly supplied without question the medicine. I'm loath to take my cats in because of the stress to them.
Rude and unhelpful staff. Not interested in helping or offering advice. Girl on the checkout was more interested in twiddling her hair.
Large free car park on the retail estate. Stocks a good selection of pet products. Vets and groomers on site. Have not used these so cannot comment on how they perform. Staff are very helpful and will also check the Internet if something not available on the shelves. Have also used the collection service which was good with most things available to collect in 1 hour. Staff will always help you take heavy items to the car. Good vip card with benefits.
A good sized shop with sections for lots of different pets. Sometimes when we go, the aisles can look a little bare, I don't know if that's because of the time we go, however can usually get exactly what we want. The staff are really helpful and friendly.
