Sunday afternoon. I drive ten miles each way go to buy some specific dried cat food sold exclusively by Pets at Home - so I tend to buy a reasonable quantity when I do spending £80-100. Except they have one pack. No more in stock - and they don’t know when any more is coming in. They have little stock because it’s popular - isn’t that the reason why you stock more of it and not less? Seems that since the store revamp they have less storage space - and for “health and safety reasons” they can’t stock more of it - no idea how that works. So - I go to buy the single pack. After more than ten minutes in the queue at the single manned checkout, from the speed the queue was moving, I calculated I would be there for a further half hour. So I abandoned my “shopping” and left - telling one of the assistants along the way to suggest to the manager that either he/she should do a better job, or find a new one. I have tried a number of times since the. To phone the store and speak to the manager. The best I have achieved in half a dozen attempts is to leave a voicemail request for the manager to phone me on the answering machine for the grooming service. No real surprise to me that I have not heard back. I always tell my customers that if you don’t tell me that you have a problem, then I don’t know and I don’t have a chance to fix it for you. So let’s hope Pets at Home actually read some reviews on Google - because it doesn’t seem that there’s any other way to let them know how bad their service is.
The staff at pets at home in high Wycombe are so helpful. I approached someone with a question about my dogs behaviour expecting a short reply and advice on my purchase, but they ended up speaking with me in depth on the topic. Was super appreciated. A great bunch in there every time I visit!
So, I've actually been back and forth to this store many times this year, for various reasons. Bearing in mind I've another pets at home store about 7min drive down the road but it's just nowhere near the same customer service delivered! The staff here are absolutely brilliant, Lewis' knowledge is just exceptional and even the smallest detail is delivered with great care. Thank you to the rest of the team also, Stacey and Coryn, for being supportive and welcoming. Your efforts are really appreciated !
Oh my. Getting a new puppy and the vets were recommended. Went in for information and the staff were kind and helpful and informative. I also had some questions later that I emailed and they responded promptly . All signed up with the vet and await arrival of my puppy
A sham of an example for animal care. Went into store for help with transporting some animals being rehomed and they wouldn’t even give two of their cardboard carriers even though they had plenty around back as no animals out front to be sold. The store manager said they can’t just give them away and not their responsibility…..well the colleague he forced to come out to me did. I was so disgusted felt obliged to put the items I was going to buy back immediately. Not my responsibility to give them that £90 sale. What you put out is what you can expect
They had what I wanted. I went for a trolley as it was too heavy large boxes of tinned dog food. The trolleys needed a pound coin and I didn't have one so I went to Tesco instead to buy dog food. A shame really.
Good selection of dog items and plenty of space in the aisles for you and your dog. Friendly helpful staff too
Friendly staff. Dog washing place that you can take your dogs! 100% taking my dogs again!
Pet shop where I get my dogs dry food. Have picked up treats at a good price and on offer most time. Has a nice vets in the back where I have taken all my animals. Friendly staff
I went into this store and it had had a complete re-vamp . It's really spacious but I couldn't find what I needed. I spoke to a guy on the top floor and he was great , he helped me find the dental care products I needed for my cats and advised me on the different types dental treats etc . The girl on the till was really helpful too , I explained I hadn't had any V I P vouchers recently and she told me about the app and advised me where to find customer service number. Great customer service Pets at home.
