Went into store today and cashier was very helpful and honest which was refreshing. She actually prevented me from harming my cat because she used her knowledge and gave me correct and factual information. I can’t thank her enough.
Sells poorly small animals , don’t buy hamsters from them had mine less then 36hrs and was unwell Miserable staff. Expensive. Ended up getting a refund on my small animal as we couldn’t agree a fair resolution.
Went to get a hamster the man told us that he wants to see the cage we showed him the cage and told them that we are going to get a bigger one soon however, he said no so we decided to go to the shop and get one went back to pets at home and the women was checking the measurements of the cage for 20mins 3 people were checking the measurements then after 20mins they said that it was 20cm too small even though it was a perfect size for a dwarf hamster and at pets at home they had exactly the same size cages absolutely terrible service when it comes to buying a pet and seems like they want to make people buy there cages and get everything for the animals from their shop for me it is absolutely shocking as the animals are kept in tiny cages at the shop and there are loads of animals in one cage at their shop. I wonder if I was wanting to buy a rabbit if I would need to build an extention for the rabbit to be sold to me
Spoke to a guy on the shop floor and bought some drops to help my dog with separation anxiety, he was so lovely and knowledgeable. Honestly couldn't recommend this store enough, or praise the guy we spoke to enough.
I wish I could see more cats food variety from here. More of Lily's kitchen or other brands. For a cat person, it was disappointed. Other than that it was fine. From the staffs to how they put the store is quite decent. Lots of things for dogs and small pets too.
Excellent service for our Puppy Lenny. Help fitting and replacing his harness. Always helpful and kind. There are some great prices on treats, bones and large packs of dog food and some of the lowest around.
Store very clean and tidy and good space for disabled access. Staff were very patient and very helpful. Only downside to store is the disabled lift as people with arthritis can't alway keep button held in for lift to keep moving.
Been a long term customer with pets at home and the experience gets worse every single visit until today when I finally decide I will no longer use them for pet supplies. Use Amazon you will get less miserable people who can’t engage customers and generally make you feel unwelcome. Well done pets at home Gateshead you have honestly made life just that little bit worse.
Love the cats and dog side, fish are healthy, small choice and little doe birds. Sadly not taking ok new clients. I have 2 cats, the range of food and litter is fabulous
