1 star food hygiene rating now check on the official food hygiene safety standards, no bloody wonder my Beef i ordered was all slimy and disgusting, Peters chippy has gone down hill since after lockdown. I’ve not ordered from here for months now. It’s no surprise they’ve received a 1 star food hygiene rating. Try mr wangs restaurant, best in Wigan by a mile

I know this is a popular pub and the staff are always efficient and friendly, but I was so disappointed with the fish and chips on this occasion

I live in Manchester but take great pleasure in visiting my friend in Wigan. Our plans revolve around chippy tea from Peters. No other chips compare. A small portion is family sized and gluten free too
