The New Chippery

What a brilliant chippy. They offer all the usual foods that a chippy does but they also have a vegan menu and a gluten free menu. The vegan menu has some delicious options such as: vegan chicken nuggets, vegan battered sausage and chips,peas and vegan gravy. They even have vegan butter and plant milk. They did used to offer pies but I didn't see these as an option when I visited this time. I really recommend this place, especially to vegans and those trying to cut down on their consumption of meat and animal products. Such lovely, friendly and helpful staff too. We felt so welcomed and so looked after. It was a joy to visit here. Definitely worth the money and we will definitely be back and will let our friends and family know that they need to visit this brilliant chip shop. 5*+++ Best Chippy in Wigan… Great Service, staff are so friendly always a smile on there faces nothing is to much trouble and go over and above for you.. I observed Claire one of the staff with some SEN Children she took her time for them with ordering and they was engaging with her.. even though they were so busy.

Great quality food. Really friendly staff and owner. Whether you're eating in or out they can't do more to accommodate you and make sure you have exactly what you want/need. The food is fairly priced and always piping hot and fresh. Highly recommend!

I popped in for some dinner, I had a small fish, chips n peas, it was cheap at £4.50. It was great food, really nice service. I was out shopping so I dined alone n that was fine.Food: 5/5

Went into today for a non-date lunch date. Claire looked after us, a complete breathe of fresh air, her customer service was 1st class, a real genuine person. Food was fantastic. Will be back.

My wife has just ordered a gluten free fish for her dinner, and thinks The New Chippery is wonderful. The staff are friendly, helpful, and were very careful so as not to 'cross contaminate', due to her being celiac. Dietary restrictions: Wife suffers from Celiac disease, so cannot have anything containing wheat. To find somewhere that caters for people who suffer, is great.

Went for lunch with the family. Staff were very helpful, with a special thanks to Claire. Great service, nothing too much trouble.

Called in for lunch today. The food and service was great - would highly recommend. My son fell poorly while we were there and the staff were brilliant - really friendly, so helpful and understanding. We dealt with maybe 4 or 5 staff members and all were fantastic! Thank you so much.
