Percy House Gallery

Story

Percy House gallery opened in May 2002. It is situated in a historic 14th century building which had been hidden from public view for over two decades.
With its unique features which include the famous Tudor ceiling, fire places and plaster work, it is the ideal setting for the unusual arts and crafts on display. The gallery hosts a large selection of work by Cumbrian and British artists ranging from jewellery and textiles to ceramics, paintings and photographs.
The downstairs gallery consists of four rooms each with its unique character. The oak beams have been dated to 1390 and the original flagstone floor still remains.
The upstairs, with its Tudor ceiling dated 1598, was the home of the Percy baliff.

This is a shop gallery with some really lovely artwork and bits and pieces. Lovely friendly people too. However the real star is the building, very well worth a visit in a nice town.

Fantastic Service by Percy House Gallery. I was looking for a special gift for my Wife's Birthday and found a stunning Maria Santos-Alcántara pewter box. Although not in stock; Viv at Percy House Gallery contacted the Artist who not only made a box but posted it in time for the Birthday Celebrations. You can't get better service than that anywhere! Thank you again Viv & Maria.

Great shop, appears small but extends inside with an upper floor. Has gifts, cards, jewelery, arts, crafts, some lovely small items of furniture etc fiendly helpful staff. Lovely old building with retained features and staff happy to talk about its history. Have bought items here a few times and will be back. Revisited, just as good

A little treasure trove. Lots of art and lovely things . Presents to give . Wrapping paper fabulous cards. This place is a delight. Oh and lovely people serving you too.
Such a beautiful place full of lovely things to buy. A very old building too and the staff can tell you all about its history. Well worth a visit.
Fascinating quirky shop with high quality artistic stock. High prices but a gift from.here would be special. Only drawback is tiny door entrance.
