Totally disgusted with this practice, had an emergency appt today with an NHS dentist, was told tooth needed to be extracted but she couldnt do it as only treating children at the moment, now this place was empty no other patients and yet she would not treat me ????why bother even sering me ? Could not make an appt for the extraction either, if on the other hand i had money, well thats different as for £178 i could have the treatment !This is absolutely disgusting treatment people like me are obviously not important because im on a low income, so im just left in pain now. If you are a NHS patient forget going to this practice because if you are an adult you cannot get treatment. Disgusted
I am disappointed with this practice, I rang yesterday after not hearing from them since my wife and I had our August 2022 appointment cancelled and was told at the time we would be contacted when another appointment was available. After not hearing from them I thought it was time to contact them. The response was that I would be removed from the NHS list because I hadn’t been seen for over 3yrs despite the fact that all previous appointments including before covid were cancelled by the practice? This seems totally unfair and as pensioners in our 70s would find it hard to go private. UPDATE Since posting this review I had a very encouraging telephone conversation with Susan Tregear who has assured me that my wife and I will not be taken off their list and gave me several options we could take if it was not possible to see an NHS dentist.
As a new patient and only having my first procedure, I am unable to give a good report on how well my future treatments will go. I can say that so far I have been pleased with the friendliness of nurse, staff & dentist that treated me with kindness & respect.
the team there are so great always happy to help under the massive amount of pressure they are under with the NHS struggles at the moment and the dentist is friendly and always does a good job
Went there today whilst on holiday, as I broke a tooth last evening and was seen as an emergency patient. Was booked in within 2 hours of calling and seen quickly and service and treatment were 1st class. Saw Kannan I think it was and he was amazing did a great job and explained everything to me in great detail about my treatment and reassured me. Dental Nurse and receptionist downstairs were amazing too. Thank you so much.
The reception team are so pleasent and akhil the hygienist best I've ever had from that practice would recommend all day long
I initially left a 1 star. However, Oasis have improved the situation in a short amount of time, considering the severe shortage of dentists at the moment. So I feel I should update my review. My appointment was a month away but they managed to fit me in earlier today. Maria fixed my front tooth and she has done an amazing job. She has been very helpful in my case so I'm very thankful for that. The dental nurse was good at her job and friendly too. I suffer alot with anxiety which I hide well but the receptionists were nice and polite. They don't know how much that helped put me at ease today. Thank you Oasis
With the pain from a broken wisdom tooth becoming unbearable i got my emergency appointment relatively quick, some issues around getting into Hospital for an extraction but it was eventually completed at the surgery. Although anxious and having had a historical bad experience the procedure went really well, the dental team were fabulous! My sincere thanks to you all including receptionists
I understand the practice is going through some difficulty recruiting a new NHS dentist but it would appear it is not limited to this practice alone, in fact it has been reported as a problem for the whole of the region. Regardless of this, myself and my children attended recently for our check-ups and I found all the reception staff to be very friendly although extremely busy with non-stop phone calls and the dentist and nurse themselves were welcoming and lovely towards my children. I can understand the frustration of other patients but hopefully the practice will find another dentists soon and normal business will resume. it must be equally frustrating for the staff there, I think they are doing their best in what must be a very difficult situation.
Recently had the need to attend my local practice to sort out a dental issue. On entering the practice it was very clear that the environment for its customers and staff has been considered to ensure a safe and healthy visit for one and all. I thankfully was not in a situation where my ailment was not excruciatingly painful and was happy to accept an appointment the next week.Prior to leaving the young receptionist advised me about self treatment that I could use prior to my appointment to alleviate the symptoms. On arriving my treatment was that which all staff ensured that my safety as well as others was the main priority. My consultation including an x Ray.....much better than the slide which you had to hold in your mouth was done with no fuss. Emmanuel and his assistant showed great compassion and professionalism during my treatment. I realise at this stage my treatment is limited to what can be done at the moment but I was advised to book a check up in 2 months to hopefully offer a permanent solution. At the moment the treatment and medication prescribed for me has done the trick. Thanks again for such a positive experience in such troubled times.
