Awful experience yesterday with a person on reception. No empathy shown, and I was told that the reason I've not had a callback from a GP was my fault as I obviously had not submitted form correctly. Even though I had a verification code and confirmation form had gone through. Having become tearful, I was asked if I have a 'mental health problem'??? Wow..... no, as it happens, I feel poorly and the lack of empathy or help being offered, just tipped me over the edge..... not what you expect from a GP practice . As soon as fit again, I'll be looking to move.....nn**Update. I did receive a call from the practice manager. She was absolutely lovely and empathetic... rescued the situation and simply being kind and personable made me feel a whole lot better overall**
Used the on line booking system at 8.10. At 10.45 surgery phoned to offer appointment at 11.15 the same morning. At 11.15 had 20 minute consultation with the GP. Emerged at 11.40 with advice, a blood test form and a prescription for altered medication. The whole system worked extremely well.
I have been with this practice for over 20 years, and I have found as time has past, it has become a joke of the NHS for getting an appointment. I called the practice and my job restricts myself from using the online system due to how rapidly it fills the available patient spaces. The receptionist wouldn't help me despite me explaining to her I am in pain with an ongoing issue with my knee, her response was to book through her but would be approximately 2 weeks to see a doctor. If I could opt out of paying into the NHS, I would definitely go private.
Appointment system is absolutely shocking. They lie about how the time frame your able to book an appointment. phoned 4 times today only to be told to call back tommorow at 8AM i started phoning this morning at 8:30. healthy prestatyn is actually a shambles.
Went to get some stitches removed.nArrived 10 mins early, and was out 5 mins later.nPleased with the fast service on this occasion
