Was very apprehensive at first. But everyone here are so nice and approachable it made settling in a lot easier And there's rhe 5 bus stop a minute away. So loads of places within reach in North Wales. This will be a happy adventure for the next few years and more!
We've got a static caravan n we've only had it since October,... I love it! All the residents are lovely, I love the chilled out lifestyle, our neighbours in next van to us helped us reset the gas this morning, thanks again,xx see you all in march, xxx
Great friendly family campsite. We have come two years running now enjoying our second now and they couldn't do enough for us. Just remember to bring storm pegs not normal pegs for camping as the ground is tough as it's at the bottom of the Mountain. It's got beautiful views of the Mountain and sea. A lovely club house and is conveniently located by the bypass to be able to travel easily to local attractions. Have had great holidays thank you Lyons pendyffryn hall.
We loved it here, the staff and seasonal caravan owners couldn’t have been any more friendly. We paid £26 for a night in our camper which without any toilets or showers does seem a little steep but we knew that before we got there with the Covid restrictions. There is a lovely sandy beach 10 minutes drive away by the train station in Penmaenmawr no dogs, the beach that is a 30 minute walk from the site at high tide is the picture in my review, no sand. It was very windy so the kids got to work building a windbreaking wall which kept them busy for a long time. An ice cream van comes round each evening, don’t worry he takes cards!
We had a long weekend on this site , we arrived having towed a caravan up a narrow track to be greeted by a closed access barrier ,nobody could be reached via the phone numbers provided ,luckily a passing resident provided the access code. The reception was deserted and had closed at 5pm we arrived at 5.10 , so we weren't off to a great start .The static caravan area of the park is very pleasant and clean and tidy , the tourer section of the site where we stayed is scruffy and looks unloved , I had to spend time collecting litter from our pitch . The site location was good for days out and the beach can be accessed after a 15 minute walk . There was road noise all the time from the main road.
Great little campsite. We stayed on a bank holiday weekend and when we had probably the hottest may recorded. We camped with electrical hook up. The site is mainly set up for static and tourera but the field at the bottom for camping is more than big enough. It has a main building with bar and arcade. Shower and toilet block which is cleaned daily. Wash station for pots and pans. Play area for kids. Set just off the main carriageway it's easy to get too. 10 minutes from Conwy. 20 mins from Llandudno. The Gladstone pub is a must if you stop here. Some suggestions for improvement. The electrical hook up points are clumped in a single board. 5 point in one place. So if you get people not pitching properly you can't reach the box. I had a 15m wire and couldn't reach because a family pitched where they felt like. The reception staff kindly borrowed me a extension but my friend who stopped too had no chance of reaching the point. The showers were a little unpredictable. Hot enough to strip paint. Then cold. Then ok. Lol. On auto start when a light comes on. Lots if water wasted.. Overall a great site. We stayed with kids. Was some terrible and ignorant pool on the site. But you get that everywhere. Coming back late from pub and making noise. Hey hoh. Recommended site
Great place peaceful staff helpful clean and I opened my motorhome one morning have a sheep from mountains greet me
Very nice, reasonably priced bar for residents of the site. Visited the bar on a sunny afternoon, and was able to make the most of it thanks to a well positioned sun terrace. Currently set up as table service only due to Covid, and well organized to handle this.
Stayed here for two nights camping. The first thing to note is that the campsite was well situated for other outside attractions. Unfortunately the campsite felt like an afterthought for the static caravan park after they had added a section for normal caravans. The toilet block was small and very far away from the tents. Only two showers were available in the men's and these showers were on a fixed temperature, set to scalding. The campsite also didn't have any drinking water taps near the camping area which was very annoying. Finally the ground is rock solid, we even struggled with rock pegs. I put this down to the location of the camping section of the site, at the foot of a rocky hill / scree slope. If more thought had been put into the locations of the camping part and the facilities this would be a great site.
