An Amazing Escape to Nature! The Peak District is stunning! Great hiking trails, scenic views, and charming villages. Perfect for a peaceful getaway. Highly recommend!
The Peak District is an absolute gem! We visited In last March and it was the perfect time to explore this stunning national park. The hikes are incredible, with breathtaking views at every turn. Whether you're an experienced hiker or just looking for a leisurely stroll, there's a trail for everyone. Don't miss out on the chance to see the rolling hills, picturesque villages, and expansive moorlands. One of our favorites was the hike up to Mam Tor – the panoramic views from the top are truly unforgettable. For a sneak peek of what to expect, check out our YouTube video where we share our adventures and some of the best spots to visit. Highly recommend making the Peak District your next summer destination!
The walk we did was absolutely beautiful. It was definitely a challenge as the terrain was very rocky. It was a 10 mile walk up Jacob's ladder and across the top of the peaks. The area is beautiful and the views are amazing. It is worth walking or just stopping nearby on the hills for a picnic.
Our first of what we hope will be many trips to this truly beautiful part of England, we loved every moment, especially visiting Castleton, walking along the Great Ridge, views from Mam Tor & Lose Hill plus the limestone trail….an amazing 48hrs!
Incredibly scenic area which has everything you would want from a national park. Perfect place for hiking, biking or walking. Parking is never a real struggle except on bank holidays as most locations have parking nearby and even if full there will be another carpark a couple of miles away allowing you to bike or hike to your destination. Plenty of pubs which all serve good food and drinks, pricing in a few can be a little steep but we've never felt it wasn't worth the money. Plenty of food options with the obvious choices like Matlock having plenty of Fish and Chips shops, Bakewell having a few bakeries and cafes and farm shops scattered all over the district. Dog-friendliness: Most areas of the Peak District are dog friendly. Plenty of pubs welcome dogs and there are ample shops in areas such as Castleton, Bakewell and Matlock where water bowls are commonly found outside in the summer. A fair few of the walks are signposted with reminders to keep dogs on leads due to livestock which is understandable.
Amazing scenery, outstanding views, but the hardest two days of cycling I've ever done
It’s an amazing experience. Must visit when you’re in Manchester. Beautiful village of Castleton, Derbyshire, Bakewell, Caverns, many trekking trails and what not. This place is really just AMAZING!! Sometimes I wish I could get away and settle in mountains and never come back!! The pictures don’t do justice at all. I had visited last year November for my birthday and I absolutely loved the solace! Dog-friendliness: Most of the trekking trails are dog friendly. I encountered lovely pooches on my way. Picnic area: I’m not sure about this as it was a rainy day, but there is a beautiful cafe near parking. .
Such a beautiful place to visit. Full of nature and beauty.
Amazing. Went to Bamford Edge and Lud's Church. Missed the opportunity to go to Thor's cave and missed out on so much more so that'll have to be next time.
Amazing place to be with nature. So beautiful walking trails and surroundings . We went with family and friends and our little Yorkshire terrier, she loved there .
