Lovely park and a decent brew from the cafe watching the world go by after a jog. Park is a 2.5km loop if you go car park to car park and round the cricket pitch. Playground: Water park, plenty of activities in the main playground area and outdoor gym. Restrooms: Public toilets available next to the boating lake. Opening times tend to be ad-hoc but always open when the park is busy during the day. Dog-friendliness: Dogs love going for a dip in the river. Picnic area: Lots of open grass areas for a picnic.
Millhouses Park is a lovely, large green park perfect for a day out. It boasts plenty of parking, both free and paid, making access easy. The park features massive open fields ideal for picnics and sports, with designated football pitches, basketball and tennis courts, and more. Nearby, you'll find a pub and a cafe serving everything you might need. Families will love the large playground, which is equipped with everything imaginable. Additionally, there's a bike and skate park, offering something for everyone. Millhouses Park truly has it all for a great outdoor experience. Playground: Fully equipped Restrooms: Several public restrooms and they are building more. Picnic area: Benches, fields and other places.

A lovely park in a lovely setting. The only issues we had were the zip wire was broken and the water pump in the splash zone. It's nice being able to paddle in the River Sheaf that runs down the side of the park. Kids really enjoyed collecting rocks and throwing sticks off the bridge and watching the float along the river. The road track with humps is cool as well for younger kids. Older kids have the skate park next to it. Loads of space to play sports on the fields. Playground: Nice sized playground however the zip wire was broken and the water pump in the splash zone. Restrooms: Weren't too bad but quite dark inside and the hand wash/dryer thingy took ages to stop and restart again for the next person. Dog-friendliness: We saw loads of dogs whilst we were there. I'd say it's great for dogs. Picnic area: Loads of spaces for picnics on the grass and benches in the play area.
Still a lovely park been coming here for 60yrs ish We'd come here as a day trip from Sunday school when I lived in Barnsley Lovely for a stroll or game of footy or basket ball. Cafes good too. Boating lake got dragons n Swan pedalos Play area good for little ones too
A lovely clean park with something to do for everyone regardless of age. Tennis, basket ball courts, toddler play area, boating lake, skate park, climbing frames, with plenty of wild life to observe. Ideal for a picnic, jog, cycling, of exercise. Ample of free parking alongside the main road, or a fee car park closed by too.
Not too busy in the park but the cafe is very hectic. Take a flask and a sandwich with you. Lots of seats by the river. Lovely and clean and a kids playground. Also bowling green is open.
Love this Park and always like the ambiance in the atmosphere. Their are many play areas and also a pond in which one experience the boat rides . Also they have a good cafe . Kids rides are not much . They need to put more kids ride after covid . All in all is good place to spend a day out with kids . In summer you can enjoy the stream . So you can experience the beach in your city rather than going away .
Amazing place, been spending a lot of time there..
I went to Millhouses Park when I was a child we swam in the lido played on the swings even at the little adventure in the woods. I took my grandchildren down to the park they get so excited and then we find dog filth....
