Good bakery, large selection of good. We went later in the morning so missed all the best stuff but the remaining items were still brilliant. We tried the harissa, avocado and egg bagel as well as the mushroom and cheese croissant. Both gave rich flavours accompanied with excellent baked goods. If you are going I would recommend going earlier as the bread was a bit dry from sitting out. But fortunately this did not take away from the balanced flavours and complementary textures. The harissa paste gave a rich and vibrant flavour which contrasted to the creamy avocado and soft egg. I was also a fan of the large selection sauces and honeys available. Many complex and interesting flavours were available including raspberry scented honeys. Staff were friendly and helpful. Good spot
Paul Rhodes is definitely the Best Bakery in Greenwich/ London. I would feel confident even saying ‘one of the best in the world’ We love their Sourdough breads and super sized absolutely delicious croissants , we visit their greenwich store every week. Sadly the Croissants have recently shrunk in size and are also 25% more expensive, perfect example of ‘shrinkflation’ Hope they will be restored to their original size/ glory.
My husband had a business meeting in Greenwich and, on the way back to the station, spotted Paul Rhodes' bakery and brought home a porridge sourdough loaf - wow! I think that's the best bread in the UK and certainly the best we've ever tasted!
Nice bakery, tasty and sweetness level is perfect Bad service, I went here twice in the afternoon. It was just one staff, but she kept chatting with her friend and ignored the customer. Second time I requested for student discount before paying but she kept the price as regular and I paid for the regular price, which is okay, she clearly knew I was a student but didn’t ask for showing student ID, after I paid for the full price, she asked me to show the ID card before she set the price. Apart from her, other staffs are very friendly and warming. That corky attitude from the specific staff will make you lose customers.
The popular Paul Rhodes- usually takes a queue to get in- but the staff are always prompt and cater to the customers very quickly. No seating in this franchise. The coffee tastes fresh, and the bakery pain au raisins/croissants is always fresh. Loads of condiments on sale- jams, ground coffee etc. Will visit again. Vegetarian options: Good veg selection of sandwiches, focaccia bread etc Wheelchair accessibility: Steps to get in- not WC compatible
Definitely the best bakery in the whole Greenwich, great bread and pastry selection with amazing service. Twice baked almond croissant is a must try Food: 5/5
A very underrated bakery! I'm usually a very picky eater, but the baked goods here really turned my worldview around. The apple pies here are absolutely delicious and I can't recommend them enough The cinnamon rolls are also really good, and everything here just tastes really unique & really flavourful ~ Though, when I visited, there was a sense of chaos and disorder in the shop, I wasn't sure when it was my time to pay, who was in the line or who was browsing - they should organise the queue a bit better. However, the staff were all really nice
A hidden gem for a post-run espresso. With its charming ambiance, friendly staff, and mouthwatering pastries, it's a good spot to recharge. The expertly crafted espresso, boasting a velvety crema and perfectly balanced flavor, is an absolute delight. I highly recommend this bakery to anyone who passes by!Food: 5/5
Went in to purchase a double toasted almond croissant only to be told cash not accepted only card. I swiftly left the patisserie as no explanation was afforded to me a paying customer. Not sure if the young women serving are trying to avoid handling cash?Recommended dishesCroissants
29 July - After contacting the bakery., Becky messaged me and provided details on the process. Invited me to return to the bakery, for a full refund or replacement. She was professional and understanding. I took a replacement and was given and extra croissant. All items were fresh and I was very impressed with the prompt response and service! Thank you Becky 24 July - I visit the bakery weekly and get the signature sour dough bread. In the last 2 weeks, I bought the bread, but I feel it was not fresh. Eating the leftovers, the next day, it was dry. I also brought a croissant last weekend Sat and was really annoyed as it was stale. Very disappointed. For my budget, this is high spend the price of the croissant, I could have bought a pack at M&S, and would have enjoyed it more and got my monies worth
