Delicious flavour packed dishes that got me more excited with every mouthful! Monkfish crab curry blew me away and the grilled prawns were so good. Note bookings for 2 people are at the bar only so of you’re short like me is not the most comfy but after the food comes out that’s soon forgotten Will be recommending!
Ticks every box. Food was interesting and flavorful, with just the right level of spiciness. Added innovative elements to traditional dishes. Portions good for the price. We paid about £40/head excl drinks, which felt like good value. Definitely worth a visit.
Food 5/5 Service 5/5 Price 5/5 Ambient 5/5 Clean 5/5 Great place! The small dishes are perfect to try out and share. Well flavoured and fair priced. Service was friendly and helpful. Can only recommend this stylish restaurant. Well done.
Food was excellent but portions way too small. I appreciate is a tapas/sharing concept but if you are more than 2 people eating, you will only have one small bite per plate. They recommend 3-4 plates per person and we did that, but still left us hungry. Otherwise ambient nice and original food. We spent 50£ per person with no drinks and leaving us a bit hungry.
Absolutely delicious food! We were looking for a restaurant and thought the menu looked interesting so we booked last minute and it did not disappoint. We had the Riesling which was delicious, perfect flavour to match all the food. The cinnamon and coconut water came in a cute glass bottle with a glass straw, lovely presentation and a nice non-alcoholic drink. Our favourites were the scallops, steak, beef shin and the lamb fat roti, almost forgot it was bread with such a delicious flavour. Some dishes are quite spicy, but manageable and the flavour makes it definitely worth persevering good excuse for more roti. I will definitely be returning, incredibly delicious food and lovely staff. Thank you!
One simple word to describe this restaurant, 'fantastic'. A small restaurant with authentic Srilankan flavours with a twist in presentation. Definitely a michelin star rated restaurant. Great Creativity and high quality fresh produce cooked to perfection - it ticks every box and the flavours are simply mouthwatering with the right level of spice. Dishes are at an affordable price, a couple can do about 8 dishes shared to experience a good variety of flavours. Good ambience and lovely staff with a sound knowledge of the dishes. Make sure you book in advance as this restaurant books out very quickly. A highly recommended stop in your London foodie journey and if you are seeking some spice in your life this is the place to go. 5 stars.
Some seriously delicious Sri Lankan inspired food here at Paradise. If you love your spices, layered and intense flavours then this is the place for you, absolutely loved all the food and drinks! Highly recommend the steak and peppercorn curry and the kiri-hodi curry, great with appams to mop up all that delicous and intense sauce. Good service and kind staff. The mutton roll, I think could be toned down a little on the heat, I love my spice and even I found that hitting my heat tolerance, so reducing the chilli would make this great tasting dish accessible to more people as there are some other great flavours in there. I feel the prices are pretty high for the size of the dishes you get and could be a bit more substantial. I understand there is quality in the ingredients and cooking but spending around £120 on food and drinks for lunch for 2 people, and still left a bit hungry. Also, perhaps extend the closing time of the kitchen beyond 3pm maybe to 3.30pmif you're going to accept 2:45pm bookings, as that doesn't you give you much time to settle in and decide what you want to get.
If I could give this place more than 5 stars I totally would. I really appreciate the attention to detail. The food was excellent - we had the grilled whole fish, prawns and pork cutlets. The hopped is yum and is one of my fav Sri Lankan dishes. Cocktails were amazing, I love the twist they make on every single classic cocktail. Love love love.
I understand what Paradise was trying to do - small plates, loads of flavor, and an introduction to Sri Lankan Cuisine. There were a few standouts as we ordered most of the dishes on the menu, as I really liked the Grilled Prawns, Grilled Rump steak, and the Chopped Brown Crab. The roti and the hoppers were also nice when paired with the various curries. It’s just not a restaurant that I would personally keep coming back to, nor would I strongly recommend it to anyone. It’s a good date place for those curious to try Sri Lankan food, as the food is nicely cooked with a hint of sweet, spicy, and sour in loads of dishes that speaks to the care in which the dishes were crafted. But I didn’t feel overly satisfied when I left. The food has potential, but right now I feel like “it’s alright” rather than feeling that “it’s amazing.”
One of my favourite restaurants in London. Incredible creative menu and flavours are perfect - only criticism would be that by small plates they really do mean small plates, but for the quality it’s worth it. Particularly enjoyed the dal, pol roti and aubergine dish. Cocktail menu is good too!
