Large sandy, shallow sheltered beach, ideal for small children and kite surfers. Dogs are welcome. The holiday park has improved greatly over the last years and gone upmarket with static caravans and lodges. There are no tourers or campers. There are play areas for the kids, walks, a restaurant and a large duck pond. The village with shops, pubs and railway station is close by. A great place for a holiday or to place your own static caravan. Be very wary of the sales team and any figures about letting and how many years your caravan can stay on site!
The caravan park is small and very well kept . The reasons I did not award it five stars is the pool is tiny and open at slightly odd times. The park has a lovely beach cafe / pizza / bar but it is not a club house where there is music , bands and dance etc so if you prefer livelier parks this is not for you. I also feel the lodges and caravans are too close to each other so lack privacy. So if you have loud neighbours you hear nearly everything and if you have a deck to sit on its a little bit like sitting in a goldfish bowl. The park is how ever in a great location right on the beautiful Par beach , the sand is sparkly because of the minerals in it . The beach is wide and safe for children to play on . There are no life guards at the beach but the water is shallow a long way and less rough than some so great for paddle boarding etc. Also the beach is uncrowded in high season. You are close to a couple of good pubs that serve food , a co op local and not far from a chipshop . If you want a big shop the park is half an hour away from the larger supermarkets of St Austell. There is a great childrens park next to the beach cafe / bar. There are also tennis courts and an area to play football on the park and also a launderette.
Nice park well layout with well maintained grounds, good pool and open areas. But the beach is not the cleanest. Use Carlyon Bay 11 minutes drive away.
Lovely caravan. A lot of dog poo on the beach / in the dunes. Shame it was impossible to use the pool without queuing for ages, and being turned away when full. We have two young children so queuing and then not actually managing to go in the pool was very disappointing for them, and not what we were expecting. A booking system with swim slots that you could pre book would be a much better option in our opinion. Some lovely small beaches nearby, and beautiful coastal path.
Great site staff very helpful and friendly . Site is also very clean and tidy and right on the beach . What more do you want .

Absolutely loved our stay. So pleasantly surprised. We got a really good deal via booking.com. Spoke with Vicky who was extremely professional. Cabins are extremely clean. Almost looked brand new. A very well managed holiday park.

Beautiful place! Very well kept, and the staff are friendly & helpful. Amazing to see lots of cute rabbits hopping around all over the park, and great that you can feed the many ducks on the stunning lake.
