Persian restaurant
Housed in a cosy brick building, light warmly glowing from the windows, Paprika Grill House fills the air of Selly Oak with the fragrant scents of charcoal barbequing. Recently opened, the restaurant offers both an eat-in and a takeaway service. The restaurant team boasts 12 years of industry experience, and cooks up new-style kebabs, with marinated cuts of meat and colourful morsels of vegetables threaded on skewers and toasted on wood burned charcoal.
The meal for two sets sail with a starter, with options including tzatziki and houmous (£2.50), and the grilled goodness of the Aubergine Special (£3.50). Next up is a main course each, with the menu incorporating vegetable kebabs containing a colourful chargrilled jumble of mushroom, aubergine, courgette, onion, green peppers and tomatoes (£5.99), and flitting flavourfully through succulent lamb, chicken, and seafood options. Marinades such as Cajun, jerk and tandoori flavour the meat, and mixed skewers such as the majestic Paprika Style Mix (£11.99) are also on offer. Sides can be chosen from a choice of chips, rice, or a range of naan breads, while desserts provide a refreshing pre-coffee flourish, including seasonal fruits with yoghurt or ice cream (£3.99).
