It's okay. A large selection, but a disappointing amount of it is stuck behind security locks -things like pens, for goodness' sake- and you need to fetch a member of staff to get it. This isn't an autism-accessible or convenient way of shopping, especially as the store is generally understaffed. You're lucky if there are two visible members of staff on the enormous shop floor. I wonder if this contributes to their problems with shoplifting?
Me and my mother attended WH Smith yesterday to shop for a pencil case as we was pulling some out to compare a staff member approaches my mum she snatches the pencil case out of her hand and spits ‘Ill put those back for you since you clearly don’t know how’ My mum who is 37 years of age felt be littled and i decided to put £20 worth of stationary back as if this is how staff think it’s ok to treat customers why should anyone bother spending a penny there and after we returned to ask for her name she was still rude and no apology was handed her name was ‘Tony T o n y’ which she sarcastically spelt out, Would never return even if my life depended on it.
Stationary books soft drinks chips and chelates and more
Great place everything you need and more
The previous W.H Smith What is now JD Sports was one of the best places in Manchester for Books, This new store has no selection at all, More like a stationary shop that sells books
Convenient. Good service standards
Just rang them up to make a query about whether they stock lanyards, and they could not have been more helpful or friendly. Gave advice as to the type, quality and number of lanyards they stock. Just good old fashioned very nice customer service. Thank you!
For a new store I don't understand how they've managed to make it look like it has been there since the 1990s, they seriously need a fresh look, in a retail market place where the shopping experience is key to survival, they're falling behind, though that said the products they sell there is little high street competition, they are rightly focused on stores at train stations and airports, where their services are most wanted and therefore most profitable.
A really well thought out store for disabled people. It has a full ramp and each isle is wide enough for a mid sized scooter to pass without issue.
Just been sent to Ryman's to drop off my DHL package just because the two guys at the tills couldn't do it and the one who can is busy. Top tier customer support
