The very bad experiences, charged me £3.55 for portions of chips.Howeve handle it to me on pice of paperFood: 1/5
Heard a few comments that it's expensive. It's not. That doesn't make justice. It's a joke. £5,50 for a bag of chips and 2 pickles. And it was cold. The chips, I mean. Last time we had 1 fish supper portion of fritters 4 pickles 2 cans Irn Bru £17.50. Not to mention half of the bag looks like this.
Been going to PAOLOS for about 15 years now. Recently taken over by Daniel , it's still excellent, the only change being the menu inclusion of mushy peas. The chicken breast supper with kurry sos is outstanding! Possibly the best chippy in Glasgow....
Can’t fault the food but at the higher end of prices for a chip shop and portion size was small
Wish I could rate more for service. The whole family who run this are amazing! So accommodating, kind and always friendly. The food is always delicious and I will forever buy my fish and chips from Paolo’s.Food: 5/5
Been wanting to like this place as it's my new local, but no dice. Chips are usually stale, fish is undersized and the portion sizes are extremely small for what you pay. Ordered a 'large' chips and cheese and it came in the same box as the regular and cost over 5 pounds! The cheese wasn't even broken up so it could melt, huge clumps of cold cheese resting on top of some limp chips.
Been to this chippy every Saturday for 3 consecutive weeks. The haddock suppers are among the best I've ever had and the chips are really tasty and crisp as well. It tastes like it's fried in proper beef dripping, which definitely gives the best flavour to chips . The haddock is cooked to order, so it's fresh and flavourful. The couple who operate the shop on a Saturday are very polite and make a great team. I would definitely recommend Paolo's to anyone in the area.
I have never has such a bad fish supper, not only was it the most expensive almost £10 per supper, it was the worst I have every tastedFood: 1/5
After horrible experience a few months back, after having recently returned to the area, thought I'd give this once great chippy many moons, and different owners another go. Big mistake... Same horrible service, same greasy, black fish unedible mess. The couple of positive reviews, which made me return, are a bit suspect. This has to be one of the worst chippys in Scotland. Worst I've ever had.
Stale chips, somehow even while busy, cold, terrible.Food: 1/5
