Panacea...who are we?

Born in 2005. Raised in the heart of Manchester. Restyled and reborn in 2015.

A place where cocktails, music and opulence rule; we believe that evenings are extraordinary, or they’re nothing at all.

We are a late night bar that thrives on individuality. Always evolving and never standing still.

After all, entertainment is a form of fashion, the very fabric of the new Panacea.

One of the best night clubs in Manchester! If you love high quality cocktails it's the only place for you :
Awful. We went for a Greek night just to see what was all about. We were told that the event starts at 11 so we went at 10 to have a drink and we were not allowed with the excuse that everyone needs to get out before the Greek party started so every guest can purchase their tickets. We went back at 11 and we were told that the party starts at 12. We went back and we were on the queue waiting to pay for the entrance. The doorman allowed 3 guys to get in before us without paying. So I asked if there were members or something, his answer was "they have been coming to this place longer than you have been in England" How racist is that?? Fine, I made an effort to stay with my friends and have a great time. Once downstairs, we were told we couldn't use the sofas as the area was reserved. But after us everyone just started to sit anywhere. In resume, it's not worthy. Expensive and some rude staff. I can also see lack of organisations as it seems the staff wasn't aware about the event.
great place for drinks and a classy crowd the management of this place is one of the best i seen also the staff are great. you can get a great vibe from this place. we start off here meaning to go other places and end up staying most of the night. you must try there cocktails they are so nice and use upmarket ingredients and spirit's. would recomend this place.
Loved it. Great value meals in the city centre. Lively atmosphere. £14 buffet menu with a wide range of foods from asian, italian, chinese, japanese, childrens, pancakes and deserts. Can't go wrong. Something for everyone.
It is a very nice, ultra modern bar that is pretty expensive. It's not really my scene, full of very pretentious people who are the kind that like to be pictured with a celebrity so I tend to steer clear now if possible.
The first thing I noticed when I went into Panacea was a long golden onyx bar. It's stunning. This was clearly a bar and I expected bar food. But credit where credit’s due, they are really trying. The food didn't start off well. A starter of asparagus soup with potatoes and lobster needed more seasoning, the flavors merging, blurring and then disappearing. For mains my partner had roasted spring chicken with peas and carrots which which didn't look very nice. But the flesh was tender and it tasted nice. My main, the crispy five spiced duck legs with apples, prunes and jasmine tea sauce, The duck was good and just as described, the apples and prunes dancing along merrily with the meat. All in all it was a winner, if just a tad over-cooked in some of its elements. A pudding of apple tart tatin with vanilla ice cream wasn't the best. The tart seemed to have been cooked several days before. A couple of Pinot Grigios and coffees cost around. Apart from a salad we’d not gone for sides.
Went for two cocktails at 1430 on Sunday. Ordered at the bar. Waited. Asked to sit down and we'll be right with you. Barman served others SAT at the bar. 25 minutes later. Walked out. Barman said it's on it's way. Rubbish. He served his favourites. The receptionist lady said they're on the house. No. Attitude barman. Met them all over the world. The two stange bloke syndrome. Again.
Amazing place and really nice atmosphere with great cocktails. The staff it’s always helpful and polite.

This place is a bit a of a celebrity hotspot, the foods great, the drinks are great, the prices are through the roof but if you can afford it then it’s a great place for a bit of high class wining and dining
