Went there on Saturday night & it was soooo lovely. The host was such a dream and really kind. Drinks were fab. 1am tacos from La Cumbia pop-up were just b e a u t & I will be thinking about the fries for a long time.
I had absolutely delicious vegan Chinese food here when the pop up was on over a month ago now. It was aromatic, flavourful and not too heavy, I loved it ! Other than that there is a great selection of unique cocktails and spirits which was fantastic. Can't wait to comeback for other pop ups !
Visited to try out Mao Chow and was really looking forward to trying out some vegan Chinese treats. Pamela is a cosy bar with a good cocktail menu and well stocked bar. The place seemed clean with nice and simple decor which was appealing. Luckily when we went they were only just beginning to pick up so we did not feel squashed in however I could see with how small it is this could quickly change. A positive is that you can book for this place so you don't need to worry about queuing. I am aware it is hard to make Chinese food vegan so I was excited to see how they would take on the food. I do like that they kept to authenticity with the food and kept things spicy as expected from Sichuan style food. The dumplings were well cooked but lacked the taste and were a bit oily. The mapo tofu was light and not too oily. The dan dan noodles is the dish I would recommend, it didn't pack a punch that dan dan usually does but it was still well done. The service from staff was slightly lacking. They seemed a bit too busy and distant even though there were only a couple of tables.
Absolutely loved the food here. We were 3 and none of us 2 carnivores and one pescatarian and we all loved the food and ordered seconds. The textures of some dishes are just like meat, and everything is fresh, crispy and accompanied by spicy delicious sauces. It's a must try place! My favourite dish is the chicken wings. The staff here are also lovely, fast service and the decoration is fun. We were not impressed with the cocktails, so I wouldn't recommend this place to go for drinks only, and still this is one of my favourite places to eat in London.
Wow, incredible food! It's unique, interesting, tasty, flavorful but a bit too salty - I necked about 7 glasses of water immediately after. The staff are also super nice. I'll definitely be back to sample their frequently changing menu! The larb was my favourite Their cocktail menu is creative as well
Surprisingly great vegan food and cocktails even for non vegan/veggies. Has outdoor seating for those warm summer nights! Highly recommended
Cool little bar. Relatively small wine and cocktails list but all good! Well worth a visit!
I like that the fantastic vegan menu always changes, service is excellent and knowledgeable, but a bit slow. Some drinks are not vegan honey content, wine.
Food looked amazing but taste was meh. Staff wasn’t very attentive
