I wanted to leave this review to show how much we "appreciated" getting involved with Palmers. And from the start I want to point out that I am leaving this review as the third party who was involved in this transaction which to our misfortune was handled by Richa Arora. 
Palmers claim that Richa is a commercial property “expert” but the way the case was handled was anything but professional. 
It took 9 painful months to get the lease agreed. Not to mention the monies we lost along the way. To give an example it took Richa 3 months just to review references. Now anyone who’s requested references knows that references are not lengthy in content, couple of lines at the most.

We were sent dilapidation bill when dilapidation was dropped when they realised the buyer was going to refurbish the whole premises. We lost thousands because they didn’t bother to communicate or understand the nature of the transaction from the outset.

Even to the very end things were missed by Palmers. The surrender documents had errors which you’d think would have been picked up by a professional firm/solicitor. 

During the 9 months I had to look up how you’d get nightmare solicitors to hurry things up and to my surprise I found palmers name mentioned on a website. 

I would genuinely advise people to avoid this firm because their practices are not in the interest of their clients. Every other week our solicitor would have to send chaser and calls just to get an update. The communication was poor and scatty. I think after this experience It’s left a bitter taste and I would urge caution to anyone looking to get Palmers to do work for you and goodluck!

Visited Kate mid Feb 2018 for two wills and she confirmed that she would do them within a couple of weeks. Nearly 4 weeks later, I called and it transpires that they are not ready, as a trainee solicitor has been dealing with them and they still need to be proof read by Kate. Try being honest from the start! Had I known that this would be passed on to a trainee, I would not have given this company the work, as I would have known from the start that it would take longer. Kate advised that the delay was not helped by the snow and that she has been extremely busy. A. the wills should have been completed before the snow and B. if you are too busy, then do not take on additional work! This was an absolute waste of time and we are now going to use a different company.

Avoid!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Absolutely useless, they do not return calls for clients even when messages are left over & over again for weeks. Also, ignore emails sent by their own office & staff in relation to same client & issue.
Slow service, no communication, and late communication often lasting weeks without any explanation or apology. Phone calls ignored and never acknowledged! Everything you would NOT expect from a competent solicitor. Dealing with Palmers was an absolute nightmare and painful life experience. Our caseworker must have been asleep when they read out the SRA Principles.

Furthermore, costs were very unreasonable, work carried out by third party when they clearly failed to understand the objective of the case, which resulted in further delay. Out of pocket by thousands not to mention the extra stress that our family went through. Totally out-of-touch with the real world and a very much “laid back” attitude to everything. 

If you happen to get landed by this firm, make sure you agree cost(s) and timeline in advance and a CLEAR mandate from the outset, AGREED IN WRITING. 

Personally, I would avoid this firm because they simply do not care about their clients. I would also question if the Partner(s) at this firm have any visibility on the cases. 

Now looking to make a claim via the Ombudsman.
