James should be justifiably pleased with his performance, its that simply. Painswick Valley Car Sales is fabulous. What a fabulous buying experience. Stocked full of interesting cars James made us feel welcome and under no pressure to ask questions and look over the car we had reserved. Polite, professional and patient, a delight to deal with. Topped with an enviable knowledge of the cars he deals in and a friendly relaxed approach to customer care, we felt like James was invested in selling us the right car, not just making a sale. After purchasing a car from James this weekend, I cannot recommend him highly enough. The whole experience was 5* from start to finish. James was thorough, diligent and a complete pleasure to deal with. He provided a very detailed handover and excellent advice on future servicing etc. The vehicle was in mint condition, cleaned beautifully and drove wonderfully the full 2.5 hours back home! I would not hesitate to recommend James and Painswick Valley Car Sales to anyone.
With some trepidation we travelled the 2 3/4 hour journey to Painswick. James was super helpful, professional and attentive, showing us the full spectrum of knowledge and experience of the car. The test drive went very well, paperwork completed we drove back with no issues. Would recommend to anyone thinking of getting a fair price to consider the journey.

Just picked up a Volkswagen Polo for my son, Just want to thank you all for everything you have done to make sure his first car was perfect for him. I know you ended up spending more than you anticipated, but you did it anyway. There’s not many garages like yours who would of done that. You have gone far and beyond all expectations, that shows what kind of car sales you are. Thank you to Marilyn, she organised all the paperwork, service work etc, but thank you to Painswick car sales for delivering more than what you offered. I wish I could give you 10 stars. Ps…. James was very helpful and the car was immaculate. He has a great range of used minis and is very knowledgable about the different specs available.
We saw a car online and contacted James to arranged a viewing. He even offered to come in on a bank holiday! After meeting James and him giving us the details of the car, he left us to it and added no pressure unlike other experiences with pushy sales people. Once all was agreed, we reserved the car and picked it up the following week. All super straightforward and the car is in brilliant condition and I’m sure will serve us well. Thank you James!
James is an excellent car specialist with attention to details and perfect service stewardship. He gave me very good advice and prepared the car well for us, I will definitely recommend him and his shop to anyone who looks for quality cars
