Amazing to think that a cemetery, of all places, would turn out to be such a perfect place to bring your dog to run around freely and meet other dogs and their owners in a tranquil, relatively secure environment with a nice little community. The place is really well looked after too. Would prefer if cars weren’t allowed to cut through the main grounds as opposed to just parking at the entrance, given there are dogs off lead there, but understand the need for elderly or disabled people to be driven nearer to graves on occasion. Generally, a wonderful place and very much needed for local residents. Hopefully one day we will get the chapel renovated too!
A very special place that has both park and cemetery status. So it’s lovely that we have a community feel here, of locals that use this together, where we visit our loved ones graves, walk and enjoy the local wildlife, and walk our dogs respectfully. Sad to see some of the negative comments on here - if you’re visiting - it’s a lovely place! There’s always someone who will do something wrong occasionally. But generally - we’re a great community and it’s a very special place to visit! You can even see bats flying around at dusk! Worth a visit for the history!
Ok it’s weird to review a cemetery, but it’s a really peaceful place and great for off-lead walking for our dog. As a walker, I like to read some of the 100+ year old stones and wonder what life was like back then.
Came here to see Michael Bond’s grave as a Paddington fan. Nicely laid out cemetery with people walking their dogs. Toilets on site if you get caught short.
My parents are buried here Its a peaceful place to visit them . Kept so well . I am unhappy at the comments of the dog walkers complaining. I drive , slowly to my parents grave and park in a proper space. It is first and foremost a cemetary and therefore I have more right to drive to the grave than they do to let their dogs off the lead . I love the dogs but seriously give your heads a wobble
Quite a large Cemetery off from Willesden Lane and next to the Prince of Wales pub. Brent Council keep this in good condition and not sure if there are any notable people buried here. Really nice space to take a walk and reflect upon life. It is a tranquil and serene place to visit and you can only wonder about "lives lived" and hopefully good people have done whilst on our great Planet Earth
Nice cemetery but allows anyone to drive their huge cars in for free, leading to lots of people choosing to drive rather than to walk or cycle. This not only adds to the pollution in the local area, but endangers the many dogs and children and adults that use this cemetery. I get the fact that the elderly and disabled need access but that should not mean everyone gets to drive for free there. Please do not drive here.
Beautiful place, quiet and peaceful. Lovely place to lay your loved one and spend time just appreciating the peace of the cemetery. It's nice that dogs are also allowed, however I do wish that their owners would understand that it is a graveyard first and foremost. The owners should ensure that their dogs do not enter where they are not permitted.
A serene place for a walk, well maintained and cared for
I really feel dogs should be made to stay on a lead. Unfortunately some dog walkers feel there dogs are more important than people's graves and allow there mutts to run wild as I witnessed today. Can only imagine how many allow or "unknowingly" Allow there dogs to urinate on people's graves- horrid
