These classes are very good The class I go to is in Headington, in a very good community hall, the parish hall of All Saints Church. The instructors are really good and clear, cheery and motivating. What I can't understand about Pilates is why so few men do it. There is nothing "gendered" about anything that goes on, and I find it really helpful for keeping me flexible and free from the aches and pains that age sends our way. So, if you are a man reading this, come along! It's just as good for men as for women.
The Pilates classes are taught really well by experienced and well-qualified teachers who are careful and attentive to the needs of the students, challenging them to work hard if they want to, while suggesting more achievable alternatives if appropriate. I've been attending classes regularly for a couple of years and will continue to do so, as I feel I get great benefit from them. The facilities are good and the organisation is efficient.
Brilliant classes in the center of Oxford. I have been attending these classes for years now. I had different instructors, all of them amazing. The classes are varied and the instructor will show you how to adapt every exercise to your level. They provide all the equipment not only mats, also loops, rollers, bands, etc, which is really convenient. Anna is fantastic, she will reply to your e-mails immediately, to swap classes or for anything you need. They also offer a physiotherapy clinic, which I have tried and they are excellent professionals.
I started doing Pilates after struggling with recurring sciatica. Since starting regular classes I've not had any more bouts requiring time off work. The classes are taught by caring and experienced teachers, and it's become a fantastic part of my weekly routine.
