I have been with OVH for over 10 years never had a major issue with my dedicated servers. they clearly state they only provide support for the hardware software is clearly marked that you have to sort it. just to give you an idea... i turn off my server to purge another from my clusters, they was emailing me telling me they will send a tech to check my server as they didnt recieve a ping in the last minute. i actually did hang but the tech rebooted it again and it worked fine. my oldest server with them is over 6 years old which i am just getting rid off. i have on 2 occassions contacted support via telephone... word to the wise there is several offices across the world if you get no response from say UK call Canada or Australia normally your catch one open. also with reguards to refunds they dont give them if you have used their service and they state that in terms of service clearly. if you order a domain through a hosting provider no offence but more fall you. buy direct from places like godaddy and others.
Worked in IT all my life, this is the 5th hosting company I have had with my company and up till now its pretty faultless, we currently have 2 Dedicated servers with OVH in the UK and am considering more servers with OVH as we continue to grow / expand. I had reservations about this company due to the huge amount of negative reviews in last year but believe a lot of these reviiews are related to a well documented 'fire' in March 2021 that took down a lot of servers at their French Datacentre LIkes Their Superfast Servers Reliablity / Uptime Great admin panel Quick Turnaround from purchasing server to deployment Value for money Configuration Options server locations all around the world Payment options reductions for paying yearly in advance Very powerful servers that seem to be much cheaper than alternative companies Online chat function Quick response to support tickets only had a few reasons to contact them above domain DNS settings and they fixed these quickly Dislikes Support - I would state that they provide Standard support which operates on a ticket system that is only avaiable monday to friday 8-6pm so unless you upgrade it up to the ridiculous Enterprise Level which is, wait for it ...... £4400 excluding vat per month you will need your own server support team which is what we have Business Support level is 24/7 and is 'only' £191 plus vat per month but really I consider this to be a standard that should be included in all server support agreements.
Appalling company. Demanded information regarding my company to which they had no rights. They should learn to operate as a service business and not force their customers to give unnecessary information in order to use their services. Cannot recommend under any circumstances. There are much better, friendlier companies out their to use
Company have stolen my money - paid for 2x domains on separate orders. Only 1 was registered. Raised a ticket through online system and also contacted customer support via email, no response after 1 week. Now back end is offline - displays 503 error - so cannot even access the domain that was registered. Raising dispute with PayPal and regulator. Strongly recommend against using.
Signed up for hosted exchange and transferred my domain to them as well.. Now on the 5th day with no email as the CNAME is STILL updating!! Opened a ticket and no one looked at it so sent an email, got a reply after 3 days telling me I should only create tickets in future. I replied saying I did and explained the situation only to be told I have to update the ticket. As soon as the 60 day transfer deadline has passed I am out of there. Save yourself a lot of trouble and pay a little more and go with another host......ANY other host!!
Always good service - relatively slow on support but generally useful not some bs half read response with a copy and paste comment. Good value for money, HOWEVER I've noticed now they don't offer a free plesk license for vps.. Which is going to bump the already increased prices.
Great service! They answer on the first ring nearly every time I've called, this is obviously only when they are open between Monday to Friday from 9am to 6pm, they are always pleasant and quick to any resolve issues. Don't expect them to help you with problems relating to managing your server setup because that's down to you! You should really hire a professional if you are having problems managing your setup.
Worse company ever, they have a useless customer service providing incorrect answers after 4-5 days. Their services are not as advertised on their website, they have a lot of limitations and strange policies created in order to force their clients to buy additional services for something that other providers offer for free. They refuse to provide refund for duplicate or incorrect charges. Just don't buy anything from them, even if heavily discounted.
Nightmare! If you have a business stay away from this company! Worst customer service ever! Slow and inefficient. I have tried for over 2 weeks now to transfer my domain to them. A copy of my Passport and a Bill from my previous Registrar including my full name and the domain in the description is not enough for them. They insist on providing an old address from when I first bought it 5-6 years ago. Silly! They say they can not prove I am the owner. I have called several times to try fix the problem. The call centre is in Ireland so on top of being useless I am paying international call rates.
