A few good teachers but some others remind me of the schustzstaffel. its almost like they want to punish you and waste your time as if they get enjoyment from it. the school is comparable to prison, you are locked in behind spiked fences and forced to attend, lining us up after lunch to tell us when we can leave to lesson and extremely strict teachers akin to prison wardens. the school poses as outstanding and great but that was 2016 and a lot has changed. the consequence system seems old and outdated and doesn't seem to be working well. detentions can almost always contain 20+ students a day. There is a sort of student council that involves elections in which nobody truly wins. one student was removed from his campaign for acting in self defence despite having the best policies and easily the most fit person for the job and instead another student won and as far as i can tell has done nothing positive for the school so far. i have spent over 3 years at the school and it has definitely gotten worse over time. i do not recommend the school but it is unlikely any other will be better.

NEVER send your child to this school! I haven't even been here for a year and I am already losing my mind!! I haven't told anyone this because I was scared of people judging me, but now that I'm leaving, I really don't give a damn what people think!! I USED TO GO MONTHS WITHOUT CRYING!!! NOW I'M CRYING MYSELF TO SLEEP EVERY NIGHT!! Nobody cares! Not even the teachers care! I tell them about the constant bullying and they just tell me, and I quote directly from one of the teachers, to "SUCK IT UP!!" DON'T YOU THINK I'VE TRIED TO?! SO MANY PEOPLE SELF HARM AT THIS SCHOOL (and I've been scared to say this, but...) EVEN I SELF HARM!! I can't go a day at this school without being called names or worrying about how I look or people snooping through my things. One day, someone actually took my diary and I was so scared. They even broke my pencils and pens, and I know this sounds pathetic, but MY FAMILY CANNOT AFFORD TO BUY NEW STATIONARY EVERYDAY!! THE TEACHERS STILL DON'T GIVE A DAMN!! THEY JUST STAND AND WATCH THE SHOW!! NOT TO MENTION, THE TEACHERS HERE ARE ABSOLUTE HYPOCRITES!! If you are being "disruptive" in a class, they will take you out of your lesson and full on shout at you! Baring in mind that they are shouting SO LOUD that they are disrupting all the nearby classes!!! Someone said on here that this place could be compared to a prison, THEY ARE CORRECT!! Strict moving patterns, obsessed with silence, lining up after breaks etc. Someone also said they paid Ofsted to rate them Outstanding. I can't say that I don't believe that! They don't give a damn about the students here and refuse to sort bullying out because "It's a waste of their time!" THEIR JOB IS TO SORT THESE THINGS OUT!! THIS IS WHAT THEY ARE PAID TO DO!!!! I DON'T CARE WHAT PEOPLE THINK ANYMORE!! I'M PROBABLY GONNA BE BULLIED BECAUSE I PUT UP THIS REVIEW BUT I DON'T CARE!!! If anyone who knows me is reading this right now, I sure hope you have learnt something and I sure hope you will set yourself straight because I am not the only one who feels this way!!!

Can't find a school any worse than this... rather go auschwitz. If I wasn't caged in by the prison bars, then I would jump of the roof head first into Mr Gaunt

This prison is not too bad apart from the fact that they ~ Waffle on about how religious education actually helps you significantly in life, setting us VMG hw about different religions when most of us don’t even want to hear the word religious and don’t get me started about the fact that miss ***** takes advantage of students and bullies them if they don’t think she’s a good teacher. Anyway the foods aweful and expensive for what it is, you get anough funding from the government which we have to pay for through our stupid tax system and you want to make a profit from school dinners, you should be ashamed of your selves. I think google should add a rating option of 1/10 of 1 star just for the fact that outwood deserve that at the maximum. I think you should be ashamed that ur school is worse than schustzstaffel. One pupil told me that they got a c4 for kicking snow at the wall while waiting for the teacher to get her a** off the chair and let her class in from the freezing cold. This school is so bad and don’t let your kids go through what we have to.

This school is way below average, I have done some research and I have found officially that Outwood Academy Ripon is Below average in happiness of students Above the average for ratio of students per teacher (they get £5k per student) Extremely below average in the amount of students with a second language Below average in progress from KS4 - KS5 Average GCSE grade for outwood Ripon is D+ , national average is C+ (there bad ok) A level average point score is below the average And finally they (according to official sources) PAID OFSTED TO RATE THEM OUTSATNDING. Overall this school is extremely bad and they cannot hide from the truth anymore and this is why I did this to also let parents know that they should not even make Outwood Academy Ripon an option for your children and I’ve got one last point there amount of people who take drugs are way above average and 54% if the time your child has the chance of turning ask into a drug addict
