Visited here for the first time. Very nice pub inside. Very polite staff and friendly. Nice and pleasant. They have a beer garden. The beer selection is not bad. I have not tried the food reason for 4 stars. I would visit again. They also offer rooms to stay in. Pictures look pretty good although I have not stayed here so can’t verify how good they are.
The Ostrich in was a lovely end to our day out in the nearby theme park. The restaurant stops serving food at 9pm, but we managed to get there while the kitchen was still open. I had the salmon salad starter and cheesy garlic bread as a main, which was more than enough. It was well prepared and filling. What really made our visit special were the waitresses/bar staff. I can't remember her name, but the lovely lady who served my family of six was friendly and helpful. Later, when the rest of my family had gone back to our accommodation, I tried a Purple Rain. The bar staff member had a fantastic sense of humour and served me an equally fantastic drink. Very sweet, alcoholic and bubbly, just like its namesake! I would definitely recommend giving The Ostrich a try, their garden is beautiful, the bathrooms have both soap and hand lotion, and the staff definitely deserve a raise!
Stayed there recently whilst in the area for work and it was so good, I've returned several times. The staff are so friendly and welcoming, they serve delicious home cooked food and the rooms are brilliant. Would highly recommendRooms: 5/5
We stayed here for a few days. We arrived and the staff wasn't as welcoming and hospitable. The front desk and bar where usually one staff and can never get a hold of them by phone. Our room was large and beautiful. Both mattress needs replacing, as we all complained of back sore even from my young child. Unfortunately we didn't know our bedroom would be underneath the bar. The bar usually closed by 1130pm each time, which made it hard to sleep at times. We had dinner once here and were disappointed with the quality of food, therefore decided not eat here again while we stayed there. Close to the airport and not far from Windsor area. Located on a busy main street.
Visited the Ostrich for an evening meal with some work colleagues. Really nice meal and the waitress was just great. Brilliant sense of humour! When we are back in this area we will definitely come back. Food & drinks: Great tasty even meal.
We had a lovely stay at the Ostrich Inn on our first night back in the UK. It's super close to Heathrow especially the Animal Reception Centre and we loved that our little dog could join us. We had a ground floor double room and it was very clean and comfortable. We especially loved the rain shower, the comfy bed and the USB charging points. We dined in the dog friendly bar, both the scampi and the fish and chips were delicious and very generous portions too. We really enjoyed our stay!
The team were very warm and friendly. They accommodated us very well with a small child and a baby. Though a small team for a busy Christmas Day service, they were clearly keen to make everyone’s lunch enjoyable amd festive. A lovely space which was beautifully decorated for Christmas. Thank you!Service: 4/5
Amazing food and a wonderful environment for dinner. Established in 1066 and just a few minutes from Heathrow so if you have a free night it is a must. Highly recommended!Rooms: 5/5
