This is a really serious shop!!! The service is excellent and they sell extremely high quality products. This is a shop for the outdoors activities accessories without limits! It's focused more to serious fisherman! There is also a great and beautiful every day clothes collection top quality! It's a bit pricey but top quality is what you pay for! Highly recommend!
A lovely Orvis store with a good range of clothing. It's light and airy with plenty of space to browse and try on the clothing. I must give a special mention to the staff who are extremely helpful. It's a real joy to shop there. It's gone straight to the top of my favourite places to buy clothing.
Nice place. Do noy follow Google maps to go this store as it shows a different place. They are out of stock of a new jacket they show on their website. I was a bit disappointed :
Went there to replace some of my fly fishing kit. The staff couldn't be more helpful and concerned that I made the right purchase rather than sell me their top range gear. They are very knowledgeable and I believe that they offer free fishing lessons. Dogs are welcome. What's not to like? If you found my review helpful please please hit the like button.
Not long ago I dropped by the store, interested in buying a sweater I saw on their website. I like to give a special mention and thanks to a staff named Mathin, who was extremely helpful and attentive to my needs. While they didn't have the exact size of the sweater that I was looking for, I was offered an alternative which was reasonably priced, practical and comfortable. Was happy to buy it in the end.
We went there today visit the shop Orvis with my son I wanted to purchase a lovely new fly fishing set and wader. When we walked in the shop and we get to the second desk at the back of the shop where all the fishing equipment are, we said good morning to the shop assistant who was in a greyish hat and he didn’t even say anything!! What a rude welcoming! He didn’t even talked to us like someone like totally ignoring you! Why? Honestly is a very bad reputation to the brand ORVIS. Is felt very sad, so we just turned away and walked out. I will spend my money somewhere else where are customers more welcomed!
Popped in yesterday to browse. It’s a lovely shop selling clothes at premium prices, which is hardly unusual in that part of town. The problem, however, was the overly attentive staff. It’s hard to criticise people for being helpful/doing their job but they were just too much. Despite telling them twice that I was just there to browse, I was approached by three different members of staff seven times in less than ten minutes. Often they were trying to make me aware of things in other parts of the shop that I had no interest in. I’m perfectly capable of shopping on my own and asking for help if I need it! In the end it was getting really irritating and I left. I doubt I’ll return.
Lovely stuff - terrible service. I bought some stuff in the shop and it's brilliant, but never order online! They routinely seem to replace cheaper goods for what you actually ordered in my case, cheap dog bed instead of the memory foam one and this hasn't just happened once so I can only assume that scamming is part of their marketing strategy
They make some really good quality nice stuff but most of it is ridiculously expensive. They do have one or two bargains in the fishing department if you know what to look for. The flies are really good quality and their Clearwater range of rods and reels take some beating very good quality for the price. If you need advice then maybe do your homework before you visit the shop cos most of the staff as nice as they are don't even know what they have and what it's supposed to do? The rod I purchased they didn't even realise they sold and I had to tell them they had two in stock? They then tried to sell me a totally inappropriate line for that particular rod! They must loose thousands of pounds in missed sales every month because they don't get and keep good staff? Don't get me wrong they aren't rude or lazy just not being trained properly. It's crazy but people go round the corner to Farlows to get the advice they need and then come back and buy the correct fishing tackle. A good shop though.
High quality USA clothing, fishing equipment and dog care. I appreciate their excellent menswear. The shop is well laid out, the air cooled and the staff all we wish for with a true sense of service.
