Wonderful little Tavern. Love the decor and history/photos of days gone by Portobello, etc.  Dog friendly too.  Excellent service and staff.  Never ever change

Great old fashioned pub with the atmosphere that only a traditional experienced pub of it's calibre deserves. Defo for the purist who like this type of atmosphere with a great selection of drinks and friendly service. I would highly recommend coming here to sample what I call a public bar, because we are losing these types and are they getting replaced with places that have none of the things that make this place and others of this tradition unique.

I had not been back for a long time, so nice to see the place having been done up. Seems to be more tv screens. A better drinks selection and nice outside area for when the weather allows. Hopefully be back again soon

Bloody brilliant locals boozers ran by some lovely folks, good selection of whiskies and cask ales, and always fulla dugs.

Proper type of pub with a friendly atmosphere,  good staff and an excellent array of drinks.  TV for sports available and a nice place to spend a relaxing time in good company

The selection of crisps and nuts is of an extremely high calibre and beautifully compliments the extensive array of beverages on offer. The staff exhibit a degree of professionalism rarely seen in the service industry, all the while maintaining that personal touch and ensuring by glass us never less than half full!Food: 5/5

Best pub in Joppa by far, the range of whiskies on the top shelf is superb.

so sad to say but a few barmaids are just bitter, incompetent, jealous, inefficient and rude. i understand they can't do more in terms of careers but it's noticed by too many at this point where everyone else has changed a place. you want to go some where there is competency and actual staff that aren't completely inept.truly try anywhere else. jennie ? not sure it's here but she seems lovely but maybe bad conditions mentally... blonde hair ... a little oversized but that doesn't matter just be careful and spend your good money elsewhere with savory staff and company
