This has got to be one of my favourite pubs in Great Britain. The landlord is delightfully grumpy in a friendly and inclusive way, the bar staff treat you like a friend and the customers, I am sure would, albeit a little begrudgingly, admit to being a friendly lot.
I really like this pub. When my work designing and project managing the refurbishment of the nearby  exclusive beautiful Carberry tower came to an end, having to wish a farewell to the Stags was a major wrench.
I owe them all a vote of thanks for making an English stranger feel so welcome.

Bit busy at times; too much emphasis on football with the TVS; but a decent price for a pint - which can be paid for by card, without additional charge or a minimum.  Dog-friendly of course.  Missed out on the fifth star because I seem unable to use wifi.

Never been in a better pub, beer great, staff knowledge and helpful. Clientele varied and friendly. My local thankfully.

A good night out at Staffs with a pal. Drank various real ales. All served the right way by first class staff.
