Like other reviews had to endure the Bouncer with a permanent chip on his shoulder. On a works night out and ID'd a colleague in her mid 20's, but expected us all to walk in leaving her on her own.... Drink prices were reasonable and we had no issues with the DJ and anyone in our party who wanted to sing did. The floor is very sticky- we arrived quite early so god knows what they clean it with! It was alright....
Not gonna lie, this place has gone downhill. I went last night and had to pay £5 entry - which is okay-ish for a Saturday night, but the bouncer's grumpy face and god complex made me begrudge handing it over. Once upstairs, we realised the back room was closed off so there was no seating and very little space to move. Not really the bars fault, but the place was full of creeps, to the point I was followed a little, and I found 4 other girls literally hiding in the toilets because they didn't feel safe from creepy guys and wanted a quick break from them. The toilets were genuinely disgusting so it beggars belief that they would have rather stayed in there. The poor girl behind the bar needs a pay rise!! She had drink glasses hurled across the bar at her, splashing her, and I'm fairly certain I saw her being ogled a few times, and she just put up with it. It's not acceptable and she shouldn't have to put up with that. Had to wait ages for our songs, which is fine, but annoying cause I kinda just wanted to do a couple songs and leave. £19.50 for 3 doubles with mixers - so that was about average. All in all, probably not going to return again. Shame. It was never an amazing place but if you pay for entry you at least expect a seat, somewhere to store your coats, or not sticking to the floor. Disappointing
We went in at 9pm there was a lovely woman that said come back in 1 hour so we went to Yates came back at 10 showed our ID the door man screamed at us to see our bags which we did he told us that we couldn’t take our souvenir plastic glasses from the Christmas market inside we had to leave them on the floor. I said no they cost money and they would get stolen. The lovely door woman told us to try next door we did and was booking only we came back to speak to the women to ask for suggestions and he rudely abrupted our conversation saying we couldn’t get in without booking even though we wasn’t trying to get in this time just asked the woman for suggestions! Me and my friend used to be regulars at this karaoke but we are going to find a new place as this security guard ruined our night!
A bit basic. But there was no charge for entry. They have reasonable bar prices. Not really for couples, more groups who want a laugh, and don't take singing serious
Went on a work Xmas party. Not where I wanted to be but a lot of people enjoyed it. It's a dive bar but if you like karaoke and a good laugh then it's probably a good place for you
The doormen charge you entry money and pocket it. It was ridiculously busy and they should not have been letting anyone else inside until it calmed down. When we proceeded to leave within 2 minutes of being there, when I asked the bouncer for the money back, he threatened our group and became very aggressive. Avoid - this is clearly not a legitimate business.
Cost £5 just to get in. Drinks were reasonably priced. Very busy so if you want to sing multiple songs its unlikely.
LOVED IT! Had to wait a while for my song but LOVED the fact they only gave each person about 15 seconds to declare their songs before they moved on to the next one,so if you do put a song on I suggest waiting near the stage. Microphones weren't great though
£5 entry has to be in cash, £10 minimum spend on card for drinks. What a backwards place, after covid you would think they would be more cashless friendly. Absolute rip off. Horrible bouncers. Only to be greeted with sticky floors, dirty disgusting toilets and a two hour wait to sing your song. If you want to do karaoke DO NOT GO HERE, there's much better karaoke places in town!!
Great karaoke bar - happy vibe mostly. Their G&Ts fit perfectly on top of a glass of water. Would recommend stacking to maximise movement. Shots also have a nice jam flavour. Would advise against singing Walking in Memphis. Crowd may take a quick time out. Careful on the stairs - bit slippy.
