Orb's community bookshop is cheerfully run entirely by volunteers. We stock a wide range of new, second-hand, vintage and antiquarian books.
As a community bookshop we collaborate with other local groups such as Handmade in Huntly an arts and crafts organisation who display their beautiful work for sale in the shop. We also have an expanding children's section which includes story telling sessions.
We stock the books of George MacDonald, a Huntly loon who is renowned as the father of the fantasy novel and remains as popular today as in late Victorian times. The long-term plan is to expand to become the George MacDonald Visitor Centre in Huntly.
