Yeadon's of Elgin is one of the oldest continuously trading bookshops in Scotland. Established in 1887 by James Dawson Yeadon, the shop underwent an extensive refit during 2007, and now benefits from custom designed shelving and vintage furniture. The second branch of Yeadon's opened in December 2007 in the Royal Deeside town of Banchory, providing the best books in a beautiful setting.
Both our shops are beautifully decorated and stocked with a carefully chosen, eclectic selection of books, stationery and pens. We are not in competition with the large chain booksellers or the Internet. What we offer is different; the experience of browsing among carefully chosen books, of having the opportunity to discuss what you're looking for, a book you have seen reviewed, the book you always wished you had read, the book you didn't yet know you wanted to read. We try to source signed and special editions whenever possible.
Our staff are all professional booksellers, dedicated, enthusiastic, knowledgeable, all able to recommend, to advise, to pick that elusive, forgotten title out of the air. We hope to see you in store soon.
