Great experience in the clinic in recent days during my recent visit for my sports massage therapy appointment with Beth Vance. I got a wonderful welcome from staff and it the clinic had a great vibe around it as someone who has mild learning difficulties of Cerebral Palsy I can sometimes find it challenging going into certain types of environments. It made it far better knowing and having had Beth as a trusted therapist for 9.5 years prior to the most recent visit and Beth already had a great understanding of what I require as a client so it made it far better for me and easier for myself to adopt Beth explaining everything to me. As a clinic Optimal are very fortunate and extremely lucky to have somebody of Beth Vance’s quality and calibre and expertise. I look forward to being welcomed back to Optimal physiotherapy Clarkston very soon.
I had a prolapsed disc in my back, suffered from sciatica and in a lot of pain. Recommended by a friend I went to optimal physio to help with my recovery. I was seen first by Kirstie and then by Steven. Was given exercises, massage and advice how to manage pain and recover from injury. With there help I have made a full recovery and pain free. Just recently went to Canada and had an active holiday. This would not have been possible without there help and treatment. All the staff were friendly, helpful and professional. They treat the whole person not just the injury.
Fantastic experience! Excellent knowledge from the team at Optimal Physio. I went with what was diagnosed as a tendinopathy in my right arm. It was treated with shock treatment and I was given a plan to move forward with. All of questions were answered which were easy to understand, and clearly came from someone who knows their subject. Can't recommend them highly enough.
Everyone at Optimal Physio is very welcoming and friendly. Darren enabled me to recover from an extremely painful back, through sciatica and relapses, my own fault, to being able to touch my toes, yeh!! Many thanks Darren, I couldn't have done it without your expert help. Take care everyone, thanks again.
I can highly recommend Optimal and my physio Darren. I had a stress fracture in my spine and problems with my hips that I had tried for a long time to resolve. I am over the moon to say that after my 6 sessions I am pain free, have increased mobility and am able to sleep through the night. I felt Darren really took the time to listen and test before embarking on my recovery plan. Delighted with the results.
Previously I had been running 70/80 km a week, playing football and fitness was an integral part of my lifestyle. Not only for my physical wellbeing but so important for my mental health too. A pain began in my groin that would stop me from enjoying exercise but would force me to rest and even miss out on social activities. This went on for 2 to 3 years and even at the age of just 35 I began to think that maybe I was just getting old and would have to give up running. Eventually I contacted the NHS who over the next few months tried to diagnose the problem, including X-rays to my hip and various other tests that never got to the root of the problem. By this time I had put on weight, my mood was low and I had given up running and football due to the pain and discomfort it created. I moved to Glasgow and decided enough was enough and I would begin to look for a way to recover. I did a web search and Optimal popped up. The more I researched the more Optimal popped up, reading the reviews also made me decide that I would contact Optimal and make an appointment. From the first appointment Steven was able to confidently diagnose my problem and told me that although it would be a lot of hard work he would be able to help me recover. To be honest I was so low at the time I really didn’t know if I believed him but I was willing to try. I found the exercise app and encouragement from Steven one of the things that helped keep me on track. Steven and I talked about what I was missing out on, my goals and how much returning to running and football would mean to me. Having never done any strength and conditioning the programme was tough and new to me but I stuck with it and started to see the benefits. Now I am back to my old self and running 5km in 20 minutes. Something I thought was no longer possible! I cannot thank Steven enough for not only listening to me but also believing that I could get back to my activities. He has always been there to support me when I have doubted the process and I could not have recovered my identity and sense of purpose without committing to the plan of care so carefully constructed by Steven and the team. I would highly recommend Optimal, not just because they have taken the pain of my injury away but because they were empathetic and supportive and helped me find the things I lost from before I decided to pursue my recovery.
Excellent and personal service from Steven at Optimal Physio Rapid and accurate diagnosis of my knee problem. Graded stretch and exercise programme has produced a much better than expected result and stimulated enthusiasm for return to active exercise and sport.
Went for my consultation meeting today with Kirstie and was very impressed by her professionalism and friendly personality. We agreed my Plan of Care and I look forward to seeing the improvements in my condition over the coming weeks. My dealings with Optimal Physio from my first contact with them has been excellent. From my experience with them so far I’d definitely recommend them and hopefully in a few weeks time I’ll be able to confirm an improvement in my condition following on from all my hard work!!!.
Can’t thank them enough, especially my physio, Darren Knox. I could barely walk when I arrived for my first visit. Very professional and friendly service, asked a lot of pertinent questions and had me on the road to recovery in no time.
Having suffered from back pain for 8 years I had pretty much given up any hope of it ever going away. I seen Darren who diagnosed the injury and gave me a course of stretches & exercises which I did on a daily basis and my injury cleared up within the Month. My back feels fantastic and I am very grateful for the help, would highly recommend
