The food was delicious. The staff very friendly. Sadly after a catalog of errors ; very late service, missing a starter and spilling wine over me, I felt disappointed that the only reduction was the £6 for the starter. No I didn't pay a service charge either. If I had perhaps got offered a small glass of wine that was spilt the rating would be higher. Overall the chef is very good, service needs practice.
Terrible service. Waiters do not pay attention to you. And later I understood why. 12,5% service charge is included in the bill. So the tips doesn’t motivate the wait stuff. The food is ordinary. But we waited our pasta almost one hour. And the waiter forgot about parmesan, brought it when we almost done with our dinner. One star from five. The restaurant could not be recommended.
I had researched the restaurants in the area, and Olives didn't have the best rating, so we hadn't intended to eat there. Since we were staying at the Millennium Bailey's Hotel, we decided to try it, and we were VERY pleased with both the food and service. We split a mixed seafood dish, which was enough for both of us. My husband ordered a side of mashed potatoes and we were both surprised and delighted with the presentation and taste. With a drink, it was a most pleasant experience, and the atmosphere was elegant enough to make us feel special.
Highly recommended. Delicious food and great service! Staff was very kind and very careful when I asked for specific instructions on my food to be cooked without any butter as I am allergic. We enjoyed our meal greatly.
Food not so good as you would expect for this price. Presented well, however, portions really small even for a restaurant which tries to create an image of posh atmosphere. Staff not very well trained, fortunately management is competent and eventually they will resolve. If you want vegetarian options you need to tell before you order even if a course looks vegetarian in menu it might be cooked on a chicken broth e.g.. Climax overall ok.
Terrible service. Good food. From the start the waiter was hurried, clearly untrained, and wanting only to get through our order. Drinks were late, we had to flag down another waiter for the wine list, also delivered late. Food was quite good, luckily, because the waiter was never there to check the delivery. The food runner asked if we wanted parmesan, we said yes, he disappeared never to return. When we complained the manager said they were unexpectedly busy. Unexpectedly busy on a Friday night in August in London......hmmmm... Must have been a shock.
Super friendly but formal staffs, the food tastes good. The staffs took our jackets so we can sit comfortable. Price is reasonable and the restaurant is closed by the station.
All the food was very good. Service excellent. Nice atmosphere and demographic visit. Rather pricey. We had an issue with the food which the duty manager swiftly addressed. I strongly urge you to try the pistachio tiramisu Very unique.
I got into the restaurant and my coat was taken. I was led to my table and sat comfortably in the afternoon for my lunch by the window. The staff was very friendly and so professional. The food was absolutely delicious, from the lasagne to the crème brûlée’. Loved everything and finished the whole thing too cos it was that good. I stayed there gisting with my friend for hours. The lights were dimmed as the night approached to reflect a more soothing warm ambience for dinner time. Loved it so much. I highly recommend!
1. My review on taster card web has been removed. I will put it up again and will put on Google review too. 2. I was tried to use my taste card on Sunday at early evening, waiter said I cannot use it on Sunday. I showed him my card T&C is only not to use it on Fri and Sat. 3. Then the waiter decided to put his new rule in said min. order 2 courses meal per person in order to use taster card discount of 50% off for foods. I am family of 4, with 2 adults and 2 very young children age 1 and 5. I then again said the taster card T&C didn't mention any min.order, he said he telling me now that he like to put his new rule in for me. We were certainty not welcome as family with young children and with taster card.
