Urgent Care refused me an appointment after 111 said it was imperative I was seen that day. UC said I was the GP’s responsibility. Waited 7 hours to be told this by UC.nWhen I asked the Healthcare ‘Professional’ to clearly record on my notes that they were ‘refusing to see me after I was reporting deteriorating and worsening neurological issues’ - He backtracked and said ‘come down then, but I don’t know what you want me to do’nIf I don’t meet your criteria, why do you suddenly want to offer me an appointment, when I ask you to formally record your refusal.nBy this point I could have attended A and E and been seen, but I can’t because I have a severely disabled child and I can barely leave the house alone, let alone with a disabled child and tons of disability equipment. I’m that ill I can’t stand up, yet I have to continue caring for said disabled child.nNow I have had to get up at 4am to make another 111 call for exactly the same thing, as I can’t make phone calls when child is awake.nWhat is wrong with the NHS?nWasting each services time. I believe there is a GM strategy of ‘no wrong door’ for accessing NHS Care, lack of consideration for disabled people and carers and application of Reasonable Adjustments for people with communication needs.nHuge lack of empathynThis review is a formal record of what has happened with this ‘service’ , should harm come to myself or my child.
I was really nervous about attending my appointment due to the nature of it but the nurses Abi and Alison- I hope I got their names right! made me feel at ease and were so informative. Thank you to the both of you for making my experience less nerve wracking!!
Took my daughter to am appointment threw 111 yesterday 4 year old the appointment was-1 in lift the nurse practitioner had no clue saying she dint think she had croup funny how I went hospital last night really good doctors new straight away she's got croup they said , so that practitioner at integrated care centre refused to give my daughter the medicine she needed ,,, well done to oldham hospital tho they knew straight away
Appointment was made for me for a minor operation on my finger.. turns out it was another consultation to merely confirm it was required.. two months later and still no op, having taken a day off next Appointment mid January.. no wonder the nhs bleeding money.
Attended podiatry today with my autistic son saw somebody called Nicole clarens and Ho clearly looked as uninterested as possible didn’t even look like she wanted be there yawning and rolling her eyesnfrom the moment of walking in the room with my son we was just told to sit down.nMy son asked where here and pointed to the bench she started laughing and rolling her eyes never even answered him she looked at the computer and said why are you even here so I said you should have a referral of the GP to say about my son having pains in his feet and back which has been ongoing for sometime as this is the third appointment my son has had with MSK and it’s not getting better hence why the doctor as sent him back to MSKnSo she said I’ll try and find out why your here and left the room never even looked at my sons feet he still had his socks and shoes onnWe was left in the room for around half an hour as to my son getting frustrated asking mum where has she gone?nIn this time I phoned my GP to tell them I was at Podiatry and could they get my sons referral up the lady at my GP said she should have the letter in front of her stating my son has come about his feet and backnWhen she eventually returned to the room I told her I’d spoke to the GP and told her it was about his feet and back again she said well I’ve got no referral don’t even know why your here laughing finding it funny for some reason very unprofessional if you ask menThen she asked my son for his shoes and said I’ll just put him some insoles in even tho my son already had the last insoles in from two years ago what he was given I said his had them in for the last two years and his feet are still hurting him she just started laughing again and said I’ll be back in a minute then left the room we was sat in the room for another 20 minutes my son said mum I’m going she’s been ages I don’t think she’s coming backnWhen she finally returned again she said I’ve put the soles in so that should be all now I said what happens now then she said see how he goes on and get back in touch in six week so I said have you not listened to what I said I told you his had them soles in for the last years they havent worked so she started laughing again so I asked her what her name was as I wasn’t happy she started getting very angry trying to argue with me saying what else do you want me to donI then put a complaint in and ask asked to speak to a manager I could still hear her from the waiting room discussing about what had happened with her other work colleaguesnVery unprofessional
